Shivaay and Anika: The base where the loved ones reside
After bringing Omkara: A portrayal from the world of Art, Mimi is set to bring out her two most favorite characters Shivaay and Anika. I wouldn't lie, the more I like Obbros the more I fall for this Stupid Singh Oberoi. And Anika, I had admired from the first moment I saw her as am quite q feminist in nature. So let's see how they are one of the most powerful characters on television ever seen.
"Har rishte ki buniyaad naam, paisa and power" this dialogue defines this man. The eldest of Oberoi Bros stands at front of both the brothers who are quite soft in nature. Let me define the three brothers as a combo or in a simple word, COCONUT' Rudra is the water inside, Omkara the fruit and Shivaay is the shell protecting both of them. You can count me as Shivaay ki Deewaani... But am not biased I can assure you all. As coin has two faces I will love to see the both faces and bring the pros and cons of them.
Coming back to Shivaay Singh Oberoi... so similar to normal arrogant heroes who turns to happy minded man who are blind-in-love yet so different. Now establishing the differences I think I can bring a spot out where everyone can see that they are so close to reality and different from typical dramas. Shivaay do is an arrogant business man but he is not like those who do not have a world beyond business, he has his brothers, his dadi and even his sister though not so attached like with the other two. He didn't become like a stone heart who cannot love anyone because of the sufferings at past yet he took view at a very different light, he provided love and a security of comfort and care to his younger ones who are only his cousins.
As Rudra said when his parents used to fight Shivaay used to take him to his room. This shows that he was never out of responsibility towards his brothers for a moment. He even helped Omkara to get rid of drugs. We can accordingly see that the base of both the brothers in where they reside is Shivaay. After the blast the way he checked Rudra, is wasn't to see whether he is hurt rather it was to assure him that he was with him and he is perfectly alright.
But as these are pros and there are cons also. The biggest con is his division on the basis of name, blood line and lineage and after that his biased nature. He can only love his brothers but he can't think that others can also love their siblings. Giving the name, power and money dialogue he forgot that his own relationship with his brothers and grand-mother is way much above these. Though everything is not yet in his capacity he thought he could do everything, this is not because of his over mightiness but his experience of unable to change the surroundings which he wanted to change that is the point of view of the older generation.
One would be clueless about what to do in such situation yet he stood with his determination, protecting his dear ones, understanding his family actions, defining his thoughts, standing as a pillar for his brothers, meanness for the society, a carefree man in his protected family and so much more. He is not just a corporate shark but a person who takes the burden of the older generation to save his loved ones.
Now Anika, a girl who has guts not because she has them but surroundings forced her to get those. She is a real fighter because she knows that she has to survive not for just herself, but her adopted parent's son...SAHIL. One girl who is not actually related with her brother with blood yet going to such extents shows her bonds with the younger one. She fight like a tigress yet so humble the moment you see her. You may think that she is a cheerful lady but she is embedded with large number of mysteries in her.
She has a horrible past of losing her sister which made Sahil more dear to her. She is a sister fights everyday with her evil bua to save her brother. She wants to respect bua as herself but her behavior towards Sahil make Anika violent towards her bua.
In Indian drama we had always seen the vulnerable side of women, and if a strong its always beyond reality. But this character ANIKA is also stick a lot to reality. Her possessiveness towards her brother shows her to be the wall which comes between the world and her brother. She is bold yet soft for her brother; though she looks happy there is a sadness which weeps inside her. She don't want that fear to lure outside coz she know if that comes out it will be hard for her to survive. And she has to be strong to take the burden of her past so that it does not befall on her brother.
Now these were her pros but coming to the cons, the first thing is that she is an on moment person, her emotions are very easily reflected on her face. She can get angry and show her anger in front of the person she is getting angry at. The thing that she lacks the most is patience. Yet with ever degree her survival instincts never let her fall and that's what made her realistic.
Now coming to Anshi... they had a large in common in them. Both of them are possessive for their younger ones. Both of them have an arrogant nature hidden in them to protect their love ones. They are surely to have the same thing when it comes to take decision and stay firm on it. They never bow their heads when they know they are actually right . Their decision making and judging way definitely show that they are two parts of one thing. Though classes are different their view of judging things are very same and even if Anika is not a corporate shark her talks also shows that her decisions are taken business mindedly, she doesn't mix it in relations but she is also accurate about things and her mind talks first about profits in materialistic way. This was judged when she said about transportation business and also valued time.
For a businessperson time, money, work, right decision and brain is the most important thing which Anika also has.
Shivaay and Anika are the strongest personalities of the show and they think quite in a similar way. When both of them will come as one, that day sparks will not only fly but also they will be able to make a protection layer for their siblings which no one can break. They can laugh their heart out with their family and even show a face which can intimidate and scare others if anyone thinks trying to mess with their family. They indeed are the strongest pillar of the story.
