One step forward, three steps backward

Kabeer, without the burden of what he believed to be his religion's expectations from him as a man, his father's expectations as a son, the society's expectations of being a man added with his age which I don't think is much would actually be an amazing husband. Chauvinism is not inbuilt in him but it has been instilled. He doesn't mind sharing his dreams and aspirations with Zaara, doesn't mind her emotional support either. In fact, he looks for it. But the burden that he feels on his shoulder makes him a complete MCP. So they take one step forward when he takes her to share his plans and three step backwards when he tries to repress her because he knows her opinion are different from his. Both in their own ways are trying to make this marriage work: Zaara's efforts are more expressive and because we all agree with her, more appreciative for us.But for someone like Kabeer's value system, his gesture of taking her out to show her the plot speaks volume about the effort he is making.

his scenes in one scene dont link with the next scene.

im honestly devestated with todays episode. im tired of this confusing plot.

here i was thinking ill finally find a serial in which the leads actually hold eachothers hand through all hardships thrown at them. the poor girl is gonna be shattered on monday.

whats worse is that this has just made us question society and men? will they ever change?

We need more serials like this which calls a spade a spade: shows us what we are still dealing with on a day to day basis and strives to change that. Kabeer is conflicted:he is young,idealist (in his version of world), suffers from serious inferiority complex due to his madrassa background (i don't understand why his father sent him there whereas he sent his elder son to a university...Kabeer dreams of creating opportunity for madrassa kids because he himself feels marginalized.Shahbaz could have sent him to study Islam in a good university) and hence suffers from identity crisis. This is anyways a disastrous combination for a husband. Luckily, this is a serial and at the end of the day, Kabeer will come around.

Kabir position is of a confused soul who has to go by religion( his version) and balance it with Zara.

Change cannot be done overnight.he has to be on a point where he realize that wife is essential not only emotionally , but she can even help economically too.

He is a young man suffering from identity crisis as the madrassa trained son of a rich man with high aspirations.

But then its the same Kabeer that was cooking for his family when he got back from his education. So whats changed??
