"Why would you do that?" Vihaan asked looking at the pages in his hand
"Because Vihaan, I am leaving" She sighed
"You transferred everything that was yours to me?" He questioned
"Yes. all that I had of my husbands is now yours." She stated
"I don't get this" he looked here and there
"What's the point"
"Vihaan all you wanted was money right. I am giving you this empire, handle it well, my husband gave his sweat and blood and even his life for this" she said
"But you're leaving. I can't.. you're leaving?" He said loudly
"That shouldn't matter"
"Except it does" he came closer to her
"What if I take all.this and throw your family out?" He gritted his teeth "how can you trust me?"
"I just do. I trust you, and Vihaan I know you take this family as yours. I know you won't hurt them" she explained
"Are you dumb? What am I gonna tell them? What about Dadi and Sia? Mere liye nahi unke liye sahi" he asked
"I will handle them" she said
"Handle me first" he pinned her to the wall, angered.
"Why are you being so hard?" She asked annoyed
"You are my wife. If you want me to treat them as your family, you have to be here as my wife too. If you leave I will tell everyone the truth." He warned her
"I don't understand why.."
"That's the problem Ridhima, you don't understand anything. I acted like your husband, I took care of your family, I took care of the evil step mother and her son Kabir, I got them arrested. I have taken care of the business, I took care of the sisters, everyday I take care of this home what is there to understand? I can take care of you too. I have taken care of you. I have been with you through thick and thin these past 6 months. Why dont you understand?" He kept his heart in front of her.
"I am thankful for everything you did for me, but I am afraid my job here is done" She said calmly
"Mine too. I will leave with you"
"You can't"
"Why? Why you who's supposed to be here can leave and me who doesn't even belong here can't?" He banged his fist on the wall.
"Because this is what you wanted"
"Yes I did but not anymore." He explained
"Remember you told me about your story, how you came here and married Vansh because you wanted to get him arrested but eventually you ended up being with him. That is it Ridhima, now I'm don't want money"
"Then what do you want" she almost shouted
"I want you" he was honest.
"Marry me"
"You know I can't" she looked at him amused.
"No no don't lie. Don't tell me you don't want me. Don't tell me you don't feel anything for me, don't lie." He whispered softly
"I don't, Vihaan. I love Vansh. Only him" She gulped.
"Oh you love Vansh. I know you love Vansh but he's dead Ridhhima"
"My heart is dead too" she wiped up her lone tear and answered
"What about the endless times you've hugged me in front of the family? Don't tell me you didn't feel it..what about the times you had your cheeks red because I said something sensual. The times you closed your eyes because of the closeness we had. What about yesterday, when my lips were almost touching yours and you trembled in my arms, if I hadn't stepped back.." he paused.
"That is the reason I am leaving. I can't cheat on my husband. I can't let this infatuation and silly sexual tension be bigger than my love for him" she said
"Your husband is dead Ridhima! How do you cheat the dead?" He laughed.
"I.. I don't know I just I don't think this is right. I was his all his life and I am his all my life" she sighed.
"The reason I lose my senses when you come closer is because you look exactly like him. My mind knows but still Dil to akhir Dil hai na, kabhi kabhi dhokha kha jata h"
"You smell like him. You move like him. Your touch, your proximity, hell, you breathe like him. You tell me to shut up and take rest when I get sick, like him. You care about me. You pick me in your arms, like him. You laugh at my stupidity like him. But you are not him Vihaan. You are not Vansh. That's the end ground. I can't be with anyone but him. I am not destined to." She closed her eyes and rested her head on the wall.
"Tell me one thing" he asked
She nodded.
"What if you met me before you met him? Who would you fall for?" He asked. She looked at him amazed.
"And don't lie" he added.
"Hypothetically, honestly, you. You are Vansh minus the misunderstandings we had" she laughed.
"But practically, I love Vansh, not you" she stated.
"What if Vansh would have been like me?" He asked
"Then you wouldn't have been here. He would have" she chuckled.
"So you do accept, that I am far better than Vansh." He rolled his eyes "and still you.."
"And all said and done, above Every possible question and answer, I love Vansh. This is the absolute truth" she opened her eyes and looked at him. His eyes were different. More shiny and more rawness, she tried reading it, but she couldn't. She moved her gaze from his eyes to his trembling lips. He was breathing heavily. She tried reading those eyes again. It was as if she something was different. As If he was beholding some mystery with them.
"You have all this property and money" she said after a few moments.
"But I choose you" he looked down.
"You don't accept this but I am everything you want. Right here in front of you." He added.
"I disagree"
"I am done with this crap. I don't want revenge. I don't want to see you suffer. I am suffering equally" he looked up straight into her doe shaped eyes
She was confused
He came dangerously close to her. Her blossom pressed against his chest.
"I am Vansh" he whispered. She choked on her words. Opened her mouth but no words escaped.
"I am your husband that you never wanted" his lips touching her earlobes. She was getting those goosebumps.
"You do know what you're saying?" She let out a nervous laugh.
"Yes"
"Prove it"
"There's nothing you haven't shared with Vihaan, from our first night to our last morning together" he paused. "I have never been jealous of anyone as much as I envied Vihaan" he laughed.
"Don't play me" she said angered. "Vansh is dead"
"And yet your heart is beating so fast. You know he's not. You know I am here" he smirked.
"Liar."
"You want me to prove?"
She nodded. And as soon as she did he pressed his body on hers, not even letting the air to pass. "Then I am going to make you feel I am Vansh" he said and his rough, hard hands cupped her face and his mouth was on hers. Suddenly she has this sensation ran around in her body. She could not stand on her knees. Vansh held her with his right hand on her waist and kept kissing her, moving his tongue slowly inside her mouth, asking her to open up. In a matter of seconds she was giving in, it was the strongest most intimate feeling for her, gut wrenching. she no longer knew who was breathing for whom. She was holding him tightly and he was kissing her intensely. She doesn't know how long it lasts but as soon as he let go of her, she started feeling loss of warmth. She wanted more so she stand on tiptoe and pecked his lips. She opened her eyes and as soon as she did, a cold shiver ran down her spine.
She gulped. Her cheeks crimson red.
"Vansh" she said, her breath hitched.
"Ridhhima"
"I hate you" fresh tears rolled her cheek as she was still looking at the floor
"You do?" He laughed.
She nodded, sobbing.
"I do too, you got pretty close to Vihaan, I hated it"
"It was you" she punched his chest.
"Ouch" he pulled her closer and he hugged her.
"Don't leave now" he caressed her hair
"Only if.."
"Only if?
"If you promise to kiss me more." She looked at him and smiled.
"Like this" he said as he took her lips between his. He nibbled on her lower lip and she took hold of his neck, wanting for more and more and more.
