"You are under arrest!" howled Kabir, as he handcuffed a pale Vansh.
The former's eyes shone with victory, triumph and warmth, upon finally achieving his life's sole goal - the arrest and capture of Vansh Raisinghania. The solace he felt, as the shackles bound his arch nemesis, was unexplainable. He had risked everything for this, everything that he had. And the sweet reward seemed fulfilling to say the least. He was blinded to this extent that he hadn't thought twice before pushing the love of life into this, in the name of their love. But then, who else did he trust so much?
"So I did win afterall," he said, gloating in pride.
"Are you sure?" He smirked, as the cuffs were tightened upon his wrists. Kabir tried to physically hurt him for that taunt, but couldn't erase the smile playing on his lips.
"You did capture the King, but..." said Vansh.
The cops took him away before he could finish his sentence.
Kabir instantly called up Ridhimma yet again. Her phone was continuously unavailable since morning. His heart started beating loudly. Where was she? What had Vansh done to her?
The last time he had talked to her was yesterday night, when she had called to inform about Vansh' surrender at his old dilapidated Wine Factory. She hadn't quite explained anything else, and he hadn't asked either.
He raced his jeep towards the VR Mansion, hoping against hope.
His phone rang. It was the Police Commissioner. He wanted him to be present for the Raisinghania court hearing at all costs. Kabir banged his palm against the driver's wheel and took a U turn, praying that Riddhima was safe.
Kabir hurriedly reached the Criminal Court. Just round the corner of the court room, he bumped into someone. As he lifted his eyes to see the face, he felt numb. It was Riddhima!
The numbness transformed itself into a wild shock as Vansh's lawyer emerged from behind her, helping her to pick up their case papers.
She signalled the lawyer to proceed ahead.
"Riddhima..." he asked, not being able to digest the fact completely.
"Didn't I tell you?" roared a certain voice.
"You'd certainly defeated the King but have also lost the Queen in the process." Vansh was slowly approaching the spot where Kabir stood transfixed.
As the cops ushered him into the court room, it was Riddhima who spoke, finally.
"There was a time when I'd done something unwillingly for you, and there's this time where someone else has done the same for me. The funny thing is, back then I couldn't refuse you and now, I can't leave his side."
She walked past him, leaving behind an overwhelming Kabir. He was indeed victorious, but to what extent?

Hey guys! I'm Mahi.
Wrote this off the promos I'd watched. Not the most unpredictable plots for sure!😆
The characters have little or no resemblance to the show, cause I haven't watched it enough 😆
Given them my own touch.
And yeah, thank you for reading till the very end! :P
Cheers!
