I've noticed the forum's been sleeping since yesterday. I'm back with two more of my favourites, my music lovers! 🤗 Since I've already covered Kishore Kumar and Asha Bhosle, I thought I'd continue with Lata Mangeshkar. This song is one of two of my favourites sung by her. 😳 This song isn't as famous as the other songs I've posted in the past. I think it was the tune and Lata's voice modulation that instantly caught my attention. Enjoy! 😃

This is the other song I consider my favourtie. 😳 Aside from Lata's enchanting voice, the lyrics are what I connected to deeply in this song. 😊

I am not angry with you, Life
Simply baffled
By your innocent questions

Never thought that in order to live
I would need to hold on to pain
Never thought life would extract
A price for every smile
Now - whenever I smile
It feels like these lips are pursed in debt

Life, the trials you threw my way
Have taught me relationships anew
The comforts of shade I only found
Under the bright scorching sun

Today my eyes have welled up with tears
Soon they will burst forth, I'm sure
Tomorrow, who knows, these sore eyes perhaps
Will long for the sight of more
Where have I lost that lone drop of tears
Which I had tucked away so safely?

Hello Dazzy.
I have a bad network nowadays so I can't view those videos you posted. but thank you ..I'll try to watch them when network becomes better.

I am happy that you made this post for the forum activity. I am happy that you chose Lata Mangeshkar's song.

You know I am an Arabian woman. I started liking Indian songs after listening to the songs of Maini Pyar Kiya. I had the lyrics written in the cassette so I kept singing Kapooter Ja and Dil Deewana for a long time.

Kishore kumar.. Where is my KK?? U made a post on him and my phooti kismat i did not even notice it.. 😭🤢 please daz, give me the link or bring that post on page 1.. I want to see it..

Thanks daz for making such sweet posts.. I just love these posts of urs and love to comment too.. These two are really great numbers.. "Dikhayi diyen yun, ke bekhood kiya.. Humein aap se bhi juda kar chale", its so soothing to the ears.. It touches me, my heart..
And the second one is awesome too.. Although i love the male version of anup kumar more but this one of lata is no less.. The lyrics are damn good.. That's the best thing in this song.. Such innocence in the lines and in the music and in the singer's voice..
"Jeene ke liye socha hi nahin.. dard sambhalne honge... Muskuraye toh, muskurane ke karz utarne honge", beautiful and meaningful lines.. I'll keep on praising and praising..
And yes thanks for providing the beautiful lyrics in english.. Did you write it daz?? Wonderful i must say

Thank you, Awida! I hope you'll get a chance to watch both. 😊 Late Mangeshkar is a legend in her own right. I can think of so many other songs that I love by her. Ae Dil E Nadan and Pani Pani Reh are just as blissful to the ear. 😳 I remember the songs from Maine Pyar Kiya! The songs were as sweet as the love story. Salman and Bhagyashree were the cutest couple. ☺️

I posted three Kishore Kumar songs on your Birthday thread. remember? 😳 This is funny! 😆 I knew you were also a Kishore Da fan and I told you that Tera Bina Zindagi Se Koi, Chingari Koi Bhadke, and Meri Bheegi Bheegi Si were my favourites. 😃 Barb, I don't know what it is about Dikhayi Diye Yun that I get completely mesmerized by the song. I've heard it countless times, but it always has the same effect. That line is what I love the most about Tujhse Naraaz Nahi Zindagi, especially when she sings "Muskurane ke karz uttarne hoge." Each word tugs at my heartstrings. Expected from a lyricist as talented as Gulzar. 😃 No, I definitely didn't translate the lyrics. The credit goes to blog.chandrahasa.com (http://blog.chandrahasa.com/archives/2843). He/she did an incredible job translating each line! I should've sourced the site with the lyrics. Thanks for commenting and liking, Barb! 🤗 In my heart, I knew you'd like both. ❤️

Hello Dazz,
Thank you, thank you & thank you...
You took me away to a different time altogether...what lovely songs
The first song...not just lyrics , or Lata's melodious voice...the whole scene & song.
...the simplicity of the sequence & the music has an everlasting soothing effect.
You just want to keep listening to it non stop...

And, I can't stop talking about the MASOOM song...everytime I listen to this , end up
Watching the movie all over again with tears in my eyes...
I think this is Shekar Kapoors career best...wish he had done a sequel...
As for the song,...the lyrics , the tune, & Lata's voice ...Hairaan hoon mein !!!!

Thanks for your efforts to keep the forum alive & going...
Like Tulsi I feel very sad too when forum is quiet...& I' m afraid, it is slowlng down .
I' m just out of ideas for topics...
Wish other members who quit come back & just post something just to keep the forum
from getting locked..
WHERE IS MISHAL & when will he be back , I wonder ??
