As much as each person is an individual he or she is also part of collective unit as well. Hence an individual s action whether in isolation or inclusion is bound to have an effect on others around him or her. Especially if the action is about covering a mile stone like marriage. As in some cultures and world communities marriage is treated not just a bond between two people but more so between two families that represent the two individuals. The episode opens rather poignantly where Viplav realizes that his accountability extends not just towards Dhani as his wife, but her liability goes right up to her mother Dulari ,hence Viplav has to deal with that too.
Viplav now comes across the wrath or rather the predicament of a widowed mother. As much as she is pleased that Viplav has married her daughter. It's the manner in which the marriage takes place is more the issue with her. She questions the sobriety of the marriage , what was Viplav thinking of? That he went ahead and got married. Viplav responses are fairly stable in the wake of a highly strung situation. Dhani was betrothed to be married to him, it was meant to happen sooner or later. Besides he had decided with Dhani's consent that the best way to put an end to all the misunderstandings was to get married .. Viplav sees now that Dulari who fulfils an important role in dhani's life as her sole relative, was not consulted on the matter. Viplav has tremendous respect for Dulari , and defends himself by saying he fully realizes that questions may well be raised about the validity of their marriage hence he will get it registered and do all needful to confirm its validity. Dulari grills him further what makes him assume that his mother his family would accept Dhani?With great confidence Viplav assures her , leave it to him ,Dhani is his responsibility now. His family has no choice except that to accept Dhani. He gives his word, the day Shalu gets married and leaves the house he will declare his marriage before all. But Dulari says ,she will accept this marriage on two conditions , one that until such day till his sister gets married, Dhani will remain at the ashram and they will not meet! Two , he would have to come and collect Dhani and take her home as his bride. It is potent scene where Dulari is fairly open in relaying the hardship she faces as a single parent, protecting her young daughters honour. Dulari is fully aware too of the questions his mother raised about Dulari's parenting skills. For the likes of Kanak ,have never spared a moment of maligning Dhani's good name. Viplav has somewhat dealt with the situation in an upright manner. He has married Dhani before the deities, but its getting the seal of approval from society and its norms he is only just beginning to tackle.
More family secrets or information shared between two families. Kanak enquires the cause of death of the older son . After some shady reluctance, Sulakhshana reveals that he was murdered by his wife and funny thing is they never knew why? and soon after she absconded and is still on the run.Will Suman's action have a bearing on Kanak's household?
Viplav on the other hand.. suggests Dulari can inform the ashram that Dhani is married now to him.But roughly Dulari snubs him , she won't be telling anyone! It's his responsibility now to tell people. Till that day she begs the matter be kept highly confidential between them three only. Kanak maybe in some way feels ashamed of Dhani's action and her being a failed mother in someways..
Back at AN, Sulakshana cries about the humiliation that girl caused their family,.. her name was Suman and she left thorns in their life that even now they pierce her heart; heaven alone knows where that character less girl must be dishonouring herself. Seeing such revulsion on sulakhsana face .. Kanak immediately spots a connection and spews venom against Dhani by responding a similar character less girl came in their life too.. but she advices her guests ,let bygones be bygones! Little does this pair of nasty witches know their past Suman/Dhani is on the verge of their present .Kanak looks to bright futures, once Raja and Shalu get married ,they should also find a nice girl for Viplav too so he settles down too..
Back at the temple the husband Viplav, squares up as a big man before his wife Dhani! who thanks him from rescuing her the from under the rubble of a big lie..she could never imagine that her mother would accept her marriage but he made her! and Viplav laughs yes he knew she would , after the tight slap he received at her hands , but he consoles Dhani she might be peeved for a few days but he knows she will soften up too.. he tells her he has to find someone, Raja's family had a mishap and he's helping him in that case.. Dhani wants to know what kind of mishap?.. and then there is silence..but soon enough a distressed Suvarna rings to inform Dhani that tripurari hasn't returned home since last night ..dhani assures her he'll return and to keep her posted about her situation. So Viplav too knows like Dhani, that tripurari is not at his home.. Things move fast Viplav tells Dhani the opening of his office is shortly , and he has to be in the worship so he's better run! Dhani smiles its the new beginning for him and he corrects her , not him but a new beginning for both of them!thus Viplav reminds her of fulfilling their dreams and look out for their future. Will Viplav's actions for Raja have implications for Dhani?
Two conflicting moods..a morose Raja still festers about seeking out Suman his brother's murderer! His mother can say what she likes about his marriage. Viplav sails in, over exuberant about Shalu marriage. But Raja harps on about Suman! Has collected as much information on her! Viplav asks has he got her picture? He says no. but Viplav says not to worry he'll get hold of a sketch artist, Raja flustered mother comes in and asks her son, whose sketch is he getting made? He tells her Suman . alarmed she warns him , his marriage is only a few days ahead , he should forget about that witch , and think only about Shalu, after marriage he can do as he pleases..does she mean ,have as much as he wants as a bit on the side!.. she tells him she's going shopping, he says he wants to come as he wants to buy a gift for Viplav .. his mother dissuades him severely , no need he's the son inlaw, besides what have they given them zilch! Whereas they spend loads of money on that Viplav ! so he needn't bother to spend a single penny on these people!now that the wedding is finalized she has changed her tune.. unashamed greed! avarice .. Dhani knew.. she told Viplav of this trait but he slept over her words..
At the ashram Dulari continues to be in a mood with Dhani. Her mother symbolically, aggressively beats the dust out of the bed with a long pole, the dust is the shame that Dhani has brought into their life. Rajlaxmi's head ache prompts Dhani to get to the bazaar to buy fresh vegetables.
They were destined to meet! Both with her past..mami at the market place spots a widow with her purse change bag sticking out of her bag, she sneaks and picks the small change purse! Raja spots it! and decides to return it to the widow..is this Raja's good side? how many people hitch a ride races and catch up with her rickshaw and return the purse to the widow! he tells her she dropped her change purse .. Dhani turns and Raja and Dhani see each other face to face..dhani turns around and runs from him! her past! But her past follows her! right up till the Ashram. Dhani peeps full of fear at her past! Its caught up with her present! Will her past have a bearing on her future? from behind the small peep door she peers at Raja right in front of her home ..its like her face is behind bars! Raja now knows where she lives at the widows ashram. he mounts the steps right outside the front door. Where Viplav stands. Stepping into Viplav's shoes..??
Talk about being fast paced.. this was it! a great scene in the beginning.. so kanak knows about suman too.. and somehow can relate to sulkansanas hatred for this suman.. face to face ! raja suman??? word of mouth tripurari gone?? hamlet53 10.3.16
