First things First...feels so good to be back...so looking forward to the write-up today...
No prizes for guessing...what a DELIGHTFUL week this was!πππ
Am taking a slightly different approach this week - will summarize my thoughts on the episodes and then do a countdown of what I felt were the Highlights of the past week...
So the week started as expected...the goons chasing Viplav & Dhani...TT yet again upto his devilish act...and then the obvious!
What stood out for me in this episode was what happened after Dhani regained consciousness...full marks here to the makers, for Dhani's depiction...was pleasantly surprised by the attention to detail...Dhani's wet skin; her saree soiled...the standout moment came soon after...Dhani's desperate pleas...the frantic calls for help...Eisha has taken me completely by surprise this week...Full marks to Eisha! This is EMOTING and how!!βοΈ
Loved the follow-through the next day...Dhani's frustration, helplessness, anger all rolled into one as she interacts with the tempo driver desperately looking for help...Well done, Eisha!πππ
The other notable moment for me in this episode was Dhani's obvious dilemma while changing Viplav's clothes...don't know if the CVs envisaged it that way, but I really liked her introspection moment during the difficult decision making followed by "Hum tumhe kitna galat sumjhe they vakil babu"...nice touch that, to demonstrate Viplav's redemption via a 'role reversal' of sorts...
Wednesday was obviously an emotionally charged epi...didn't think much of the dramatization of the whole 'akhand jyot' depiction, but guess its part & parcel of the whole TRP thingy! Loved Dhani's agility at climbing the steps though!π
What stood out for me as always were the more subtle moments...Dhani's understated happiness on hearing Viplav calling out her name even in his delirious state and hugging him in sheer joy...am still guessing that this is what triggered Viplav's comment on regaining consciousness "Mujhe jinda dekhne ki khushi main agar tum mujhe gale lagana chahti ho, toh laga sakti ho!"π CLASSIC ViDha moment this!π
Iskey baad phir kya kehna...the latter half of the week was pure BLISS!π³
Love the ease & breeze with which ViDha's equation is shaping up...absolutely LOVE their banter...don't know if I was reading too much into it, but actually experienced this on several occasions this week - their squabbles do not seem to be just friendly now; their exchanges have begun to show glimpses of the future!π³
Several PRICELESS moments in the Thursday episode...
- "Agar tumhari chinta nahin karte, toh yahan tak kabhi nahin pahunchte, Dhani !" What a BRILLIANTLY written line!βοΈ Such a SIMPLE way to depict the DEPTH of ViDha's journey, and thereby the BASIS of their equation! Great job, CVs!πππ
- Liked the dignity with which the 'lep' scene was handled and Loved the myriad expressions of Viplav changing from mischievous to floored as the depth of Dhani's character seeps into him!π³
- Also liked the tenderness of the prelude scene to the actual bathing scene...Dhani's "Suno" & "Baitho!"...just love Eisha's voice and her modulation as well! βοΈ Nice job there by Mishal and Eisha in depicting the awkwardness of the situation and the innate gentleman in Viplav by making quick & good use of the blanket thereafter!π
Much has already been written about the ViDha hug, but surprisingly, it does not feature as a highlight scene for me...
What I liked about the ViDha hug:
- Viplav's desperation when Dhani goes missing
- The pause in Viplav's step before he goes full throttle - nice touch that!πππ
- The multiple emotions that run through Viplav as he hugs Dhani
- Dhani's reaction - nicely depicted through her eyes, fallen bucket and restrained hands!
What I felt could have been better about the ViDha hug:
- The intensity of the complete scene could have been a notch higher, considering this was the catalyst in Viplav understanding the depth of his feelings for Dhani
- Mishal is a fantastic actor; no two's on that ! For the first time in this scene, I noticed a chink in his armour, probably due to inadequate direction! Considering Mishal's range and command over expressions, the scene could have come out much better - the relief and insane happiness on seeing Dhani, a tighter grip...he had found the love of his life after all!π
A special mention here for Mishal's simple yet highly effective realization moment of the change in Viplav's paradigm with Dhani...Sheer BRILLIANCE by Mishal in his "Viplav Tripathi, tumhe Dhani se pyar ho gaya hai! Another CLASSIC ViDha moment! βοΈ Also, simply LOVED Viplav's mix of emotions after the call with DT...the complex emotional mix of supreme BLISS, EXCITEMENT, NERVOUSSNES, all rolled into one! This CVs, is Mishal's calibre! πππ
Now coming to my most favourite part...the HIGHLIGHT of the week! This week obviously had many!π Hence, am doing this piece as a COLLAGE of sorts through my HIGHLIGHTS...no brownie points for guessing that they will all be ViDha scenes!π
So here goes and in no particular order...
Scene 1
Dhani feeding Viplav: Absolutely ADORED the ease and effortlessness of the scene. Full marks to Mishal and Eisha for bringing out the growing comfort level of ViDha so naturally! Loved Viplav's mischievous grins and Dhani's 'chutkula' retort!π Enjoyed Viplav's full-throated laughter in response! Liked the fact that Viplav wanted to eat on his own, am glad Dhani insisted and continued to feed him, though!π³ Very good use of the karva chauth 'deja vu' moment. The final icing on the cake - Dhani's smile culminating into laughter and the solace on Viplav's face on seeing that!π
Scene 2
The Bathing Scene: Very well handled by the makers, Mishal as well as Eisha...could have gone awfully wrong if pitched poorly by any of these stakeholders - Kudos for the same!π So many WONDERFUL touches..."ashram main toh faasla kabhi nahin tha"; "tum kya humko hamesha nahongi?"; "safed rang- joh hum pichle do dino se pehne huye hain"; "dulaari mai kya kehngi...behosh ladke ka najayaaz fayda uthaya!"πβοΈ Finally, the moment that all of us adored - Dhani's Water Pouring; Target Missing & Viplav's hilarious antics in play!π
Scene 3
The Newspaper Scene: What a novel way to use the newspaper!π Lovely scene this!π Viplav is completely SMITTEN!π³ Some DELIGTHFUL moments here - use of hands to shield the sunlight to "nahin karein?!"π And voila! The Newspaper makes its appearance! Some superlative writing here - "mandir pe siyasat" to "sone ka daam" to "kyon, tumhe chahiye?"π LOVED Mishal and Eisha's expressions when Dhani all frustrated says to Viplav "Jo karna hai karo" and he retorts with a "Thankyou!" The naughty smile by Viplav and Dhani's amusement in response, all in a fraction of a second, are an absolute treat to the viewer's eyes!π Mishal and Eisha truly COMPLEMENT each other SEAMLESSLY!πππ
The Highlight moment for me in this Highlight scene - ViDha's antics can ENTERTAIN just about anyone - even the guy in the queue, behind Viplav, was left supremely entertained! Nice touch that, CVs!
A special mention here also for the 3 sidekicks - they are absolutely Hilarious!π
Scene 4:
The "Wall" with the Hole scene: Unique and highly creative concept, and some great writing as well! Loved, absolutely loved ViDha's banter...Viplav teasing Dhani, Dhani reprimanding Viplav, and their absolutely CHARMING expressions in doing so! Loved Viplav's "Tumhe bada mazaa aa raha hai humey ghurne main" & Dhani's "Apna saara dimag nadi main hi chod aaye ho!"π
And then the 'great wall of China' falls! Viplav has fallen for Dhani hook, line and sinker, and Dhani completely clueless of what's in store! Nice dichotomy that!π
Scene 5:
The Saunth ke laddoo scene: "Haan wahin kaha tha na tumne...S..O..A."..and lo behold...the laddoo!π Yet another CLASSIC ViDha scene, this...simple, conversational, playful yet deep! Loved the context - "Is sapne ko poora karna chahiye, warna toot jayega!" How typically Viplav - absolutely ADORABLE! A special mention here for Dhani's almost Zen-like calm & composure...complements Viplav's child-like zeal so COMPLETELY! Totally adore Viplav's ability to wear his heart on his sleeve - he can articulate his feelings so well...only he can get away with "dekho, humne tumhari kitni madat kar di!" π The laddoos in multiple shapes and sizes was a complete treat to watch - Viplav's exuberance (read: heart shape laddoo) and Dhani's dismissiveness (read: nagin wala laddoo)!πDhani is one lucky woman - loved the moment when Viplav despite a full mouth insists that Dhani's quota is half the share!
In summary, this truly was a MEMORABLE week...a WONDERFUL "week that was"!π
Experienced immense happiness while going down memory lane and penning down my thoughts...
Many thanks IKRS, ViDha, Mishal, Eisha and IF for this...
