Where reason challenges religious fervour..Viplav seems to challenge more the issue gender rather than widowhood.
Just when a devotee whips up others to attack a helpless Dhani accused of theft.. Viplav appears as her saviour and before all he grabs the man by the neck, with a sneer.. pathetic! picking on a vulnerable woman!.. with interest Dashrant watches his grandson thwarts the assailant and ward off his attack by calling upon the man to show his masculinity to him instead of Dhani! he saves her but challenges the rest .. Viplav compares their devotion for god to their cowardice by picking on a woman who steals a clay model. He snarls at them it's their own greed that caused the crime ,their pouncing on the diamonds created a commotion and allowed the robbery!
He urges the man to strike.. and then turns and apologizes to his dadi ji.. and says, he wants to speak to his devotees and these believers in god .. he got to hear that a short while ago you lot created such a commotion here, like trained dogs set upon a carcass of a dead animal! you were fighting amongst yourselves jumping on each other for diamonds! and now here you all stand with concerns and respect for your prabhu as never seen before! how easily you forget your greed and that rendered you naked and laid bare your nature of picking on a helpless woman! does she look like a thief to you? to steal clay idols?.. Viplav compares the hypocritical devotees to dogs..and their animalistic instinct of savagery, propelled by a cannibalistic greed to get to the diamonds! such ravenousness that stripped them of their power of reasoning..mean while Tulsi locks the door of her shared Ashram room .. she sets down the murtis uncovers the white cloth.. Tulsi 's hunger for wealth ... one look at the gold statuettes , she says you are so brilliant that it's life threatening to watch you.. so have to tone down your splendour so none can recognise you and take you back from me, getting you was such hard work! so she mixes clay and then applies the coating on the murtis. Viplav continues his tirade, all you need is an excuse to pounce on woman ! for goodness sake someone has hook winked you , threw the diamonds, created a a din , and then stole and absconded with your murtis!.they feel stupid but pandit ji spots the duplicate key and yells.. but the keys are tied on her pallu! Dashrant looks at Viplav and wonders how will he get out of this one? Tripurari , police and pandit stare at Viplav who asks Dhani where did she get the keys from ,she denies all knowledge of them .
Pandit accuses, she is doing all this for money and is definitely one member of that gang of thieves! that stole the murtis of god, Viplav argues and challenges his intelligence, you are so ignorant pandit ji that in your blind faith you fail to grasp that when the mandir is wide open then why would this woman walk around carting this key? Dashrant then uses his authority and informs the pandit in particular , my grandson does not lie!if he says theshe hasn't stolen the idols then so be it! and he orders the police why are you still here ,you should be out looking for them and not wasting time ! Viplav turns to the police, look had she be a thief she wouldn't be standing here listening to you all ,instead she too would have done a runner with her gang! Tulsi finishes her clay pack coat of the idols and implores to lord Krishna , just keep showering your grace and making things go right for me and she puts the murti in a hessian sack and leaves it to side it loook Dulari arrives and seeing Dashrant is there she implores, for help to all ,my child never steals help me but the police officer tells Viplav we can't let the girl go now as the key have been found on so it's now police case.. Viplav argues yes I agree officer, when the commotion took place any one could have tied the keys to her mantle.. now if I tied anything on you in a rush would you know? well in the same way.. that thief could have tied this on her pallu besides till you don't find the murti ,interrogative the thieves you cannot be for sure that she is one of their gang! Here he is referring to the law and rights of the citizen , innocent until proven guilty and confirmation of evidence based on further investigations and interrogations.. not based on unproven evidence.. could she have been arrested on the basis of suspicion ?..at home Tulsi rummages through the flower basket looking for the stolen jewellery ! but is unable to locate them she cusses Dhani for knowing where they might be! .. the police officer convinced by Viplav's argument ,tells him ,that now he's letting her go but from time to time she would be called for investigations.. Viplav is delighted and replies, he'll be only too pleased to assist him in solving the case! and Dashrant too orders the police officer to hunt out the murti thief!.. he assures , him and his men will set up road blocks at exit points of Benaras till the time they don't nab the robbers! and Viplav orders them to take theclay replica as well.. Viplav and dadi hug each other!.. The solace Dashrant receives from hugging Viplav is all to genuine and heartwarming. Dashrant seems to be malice free from the widows. he seems to show support towards Viplav's questioning the image of people's unreasonable treatment of women.. To me he celebrates that Viplav is standing up for righteousness and justice and that too publically. It's like Viplav is collecting, redeeming the badly tarnished image of the family name..
Dhani barges in the room while Tulsi looks for the jewellery. Dhani notices blotches of mud marks on her white sari, asks her and as usual Tulsi lies, I had a dizzy spell, and fell outside the mandir. Dhani still shows concern for Tulsi sits her down on the bed..tulsi apologizes to dhani for leaving her in the courtyard. Dhani apologizes to her too.. Tulsi wants to probably know the outcome of her game plan .. to implicate to all that Dhani stole the murtis. Viplav sails in and dampens hr spirits! Everything is fine now,, there are police road blocks erected in all of Benaras it's just a matter of time when the robber gets caught! and there is no way the thief can make a getaway! Tulsi gives him a intolerant smile and muses I haven't got time I need to get jewellery and he idols and escape from you as soon as possible! Dhani suggests she rest and she make black tea for her, with a sarcastic smile on his face Viplav waves at Tulsi and then leaves the room..
Night time approaches and Tulsi sneaks down the stairs. gets to the courtyard and phones her accomplice, can't find the jewellery but will just bring the valuable murti and leave this place as soon as possible.. and heads for the tree where she rested her sack.. opens the one with the gold murti ,pulls it out and suddenly Dhani arrives and asks her, what are you looking for Tulsi? Sheturns and faces Dhani whose face is not of the kind ,gentle inniocentr Dhani but one with a hard and frigid expression on her face! Tulsi replies ,just this clay murti.. and she stands up the clay covered gold statuette on the wall. Viplav too turns up.. Dhani looks on at Tulsi and the murti.. and Viplav gambols closer with a pot of water.. his palm around the neck of the pot.. so it's a clay model? He says trying to look easily fooled...and he whispers to Dhani who stands by him , might be Dhani ,if Tulsi ji says so.. but it's clay than what's the problem! we'll find out soon if it's clay or gold? and he tips the pitcher and pours water over the murti cleaning them to their orginal preciousness and true reverence! Stop! Tulsi tries to speak but Viplav is totally immersed in performing ablution of the truth from guile! and so is washes off Tulsi's lie and the truth of the imposter is exposes! Before Viplav and Dhani the custodians of righteousness!.. Viplav smiles and Dhani stands stunned.. Tulsi waits for repercussions. Viplav exclaims ,this is some miraculous soil..as soon as it touch water it turned to gold! and he sneers at her..dhani couldn't stand it and she walks towrds Tulsi and gives her reounding slap across her cheek and Viplav's eyes pop out as if he had seen a ghost!and he jerks and stops him self from yelling! Tulsi holds her cheek.. Dhani glares at her in disgust , this murti is made of real gold! but your are made of a dirty soil! deceit ! sin! filth! you are a scumbag made of all these! Tulsi enough of your appearances! I know now for what you are! so no more lies now! I have my doubts now that this white sari may well be a disguise! Then Viplav adds, thing is Tulsi ji , fraudulent people, tricksters and liars can't carry on forever ,one day the masks falls and their true face is eventually exposed!
The rest of the widows come to the courtyard and Dulari wants to know what's going on and Viplav replies, kaki .maaji no matter how hard people try and live by a false identity, one day they are exposed! Tulsi consider this, that the girl who couldn't bear to hear anything against you trusted you blindly .. today same girl gave you a tight slap! rubs in Viplav then he tells rachna and Dhani to hold the heavy murti and keep it somewhere safe.. then he gibes at Tulsi.. Tulsi ji you made a big mistake in assuming that we are stupid! I doubted you from the minute I saw you on the mobile at night ; what did think I believed you.. next when Rajlaxmi waved about your gold coin , you even cleverly linked it to your deceased husband all of us even bought your story..here he means the rest of the widows..how now realize their mistake, no but I didn't believe you as I knew that behind this ordinary simple face of yours, there was a sly cunning vixen !and then Dhani says , another thing when I saw jewellery in your bundle that day, I could tell something was not quite right! then when the idols were stolen from the mandir , for a moment my mind did go towards you ,, but I didn't pay attention. but then you acted again by mixing sleeping tablets in our food!F.B Viplav alerted her she cooked that day.. two people never ate the food she cooked , you were fasting and I had my doubts about her.. then Viplav joins in after that I sent you to the mandir andi went to the police station to check any records on you.. and cleverly in the picture you posed alright , but then you moved deliberately so the picture comes blurred! Dhani says when we asked you if you had relatives , you said you had none .. then when Viplav asked you said you were talking to a relative.. I thought you stole the murti , but I still had my doubts, if you had stolen it , then you wouldn't have been here! when I returned to the Ashram ,but I decided I would watch you closely and look what we found! accuses Dhani. Viplav then chirps , now all passengers going to the jail need to fasten their seat belts! and drop your weapons before the police! because the captain of your plane Viplav Tirpathi has informed the police.. thanks for choosing this ashram ! we all will wish that your journey in the jail is a pleasant one! Dulari yells oh gawwd! right under our very noses this woman carried on this deceitful game! Tulsi ,who had plently of time to plan her next move .embarks on a apology seeking performance before Dhani.. forgive me Dhani, I made a big mistake have commit ted many crimes .but your love and acceptance, it hs changed me . I admit I made a mistake but if I can be given a chance to mend my mistake she begs Dhani, and Viplav shakes her finger at Dhani , meaning no don't you listen to her! then she goes down at Dhani's feet and pleads forgive me Dhani and Viplav now shakes his head at Dhani and rolls his eyes absolutely not! and Dhani looks at Viplav and he glares at Dhani with a jerk to head don't you dare forgive her! and Dhani looks back at him in anger.. and then all of a sudden whilst Dhani looks at Viplav ,Tulsi jerks up, twists Dhani arm behind her back and points a gun at her temple and screams .. Dhani you! all look on in horror. then Tulsi looks boldly at Viplav as she points the sided gun at a frightened Dhani..
I enjoyed the episode.. for the bit of action only a teeny bit I'd hoped to catch glimpses of one called Dutta , but instead I get Viplav having scathing words for the crowd that surrounded Dhani.. Right from the start Viplav seems in a court room fighting a case, cross questioning reasoning and finally getting Dhani off! from being actually arrested .. the episode also a rife ground for Viplav to argue, question, and learn hands on.. his humour and sarcasm is a happy medium to his case fighting technique .. washing the murti was a beautiful scene where all evil and guile is washed off and the truth prevails..
