Radha spoke with her voice faltering. The bees buzzed around, listening intently to her conversation.
"With his mouth, he blows and produces sweet and charming music from his flute, and as he dances, the peacock feather sways in the air and his thick hair falls on his face! Oh, look how that Hari has left me and is sporting with the Gopikas! I can still remember the pastimes we spent together!
"His black hair is decorated with a peacock feather, resembling a black cloud surrounded by a rainbow! I am being made to suffer by him, yet I am not able to stop thinking of him! That Hari, dancing with the Gopikas!
"You talked about him kissing my sakhis and pulling them towards him! His beautiful features caress their face, enchanting my heart! Oh Vrinda! Even though he ignores me, I cannot ignore him! My sakhis must feel horripilation on getting embraced by him, the jewels on their hands and feet reflecting the moonlight, dispelling darkness! When will this darkness disappear from my heart?! I cannot stop thinking about him!
"His forehead deorated with a small sandalwood dot, he doesn't hesitate to crush the gopikas with his embrace, his chest being as hard as wood! I am not able to forget his charming smile, filled with love for those gopikas! Decorated in yellow silk, he grants bliss to all his devotees. He submits himself to these gopikas, and thus conquers their hearts!! That Krsna is forcefully penetrating my heart and casing me unbearable pain!
"You see, whenever I am tormented by his love arrows, that Krsna comes to me sitting under the Kadamba tree, and with sweet words, consoles me and wins my heart! Why is that Krsna not coming now! I am unable to forget his beautiful face, and the charming smile of his! This beautiful description, which grants devotees his lotus feet, why isn't it bringing him here!?"
Radha cried. When would Krsna come to comfort her like this! But surprisingly, her anger had vanished. She was astonished. She looked at Vrinda.
"Vrinda! What is happening to me! I am not feeling any sort of anger even though krsna is elsewhere! I am only feeling great despair! I cannot forget him! What should I do, sakhi?"
She wiped her tears and caught Vrinda's hands.
"Sakhi, will you please tell that charmer to come to me? Please stop this agitation by bringing him here! I implore you! Once, in Kokilavana, he had invited me for a secret meeting! But when I went there, he hid in the trees just to see me waiting for him! When I burst into tears, he immediately rushed out to console me! That generous boy, the slayer of Kesi, won't he surely come if you call him? Please call him Sakhi!
"Krishna pleased me in all sorts of ways! In our first meeting, so many years ago, he playfully pulled my clothes, making me feel shy and embarrassed! He prepared a bed of leaves too, jsut for me! Making me lie on it, he kissed me, making me feel bliss! Oh, his very touch made me forget my worries! I was in a high state of ecstasy!
"Even the cuckoos felt the love in the air, cooing ever so sweetly! That expert in love, Krsna, he dug his nails into my skin, and loosened my hair even! He fulfilled my desires! Catching my hair, he untied the knot that was tangling it up! My jewels shook and made tinkling noises, like little bells! Oh, that Madhusudana, enchanted me so much, that after he had fulfiled all my desires and garnted me his pure love, I fell tired into his arms!
"Sakhi, see, how Krsna pleases me! Why the very thought makes me feel ecstatic! Please bring him here, Sakhi! I cannot bear this separation from him!"
Vrinda was also ecstatic hearing such wonderful descriptions of Krsna's pastimes! She filled her mind with Krsna, and comforting Radha, proceeded to Chandravali's Nikunja, where the gopikas were all in a state of Supreme Bliss! She looked at Krsna, who had a mesmerising expression, melting her heart! But what was wrong with his eyes?
Krsna noticed her, and taking yet another form, went to her. Vrinda saw in his eyes the same intense separation that she had seen in Radha's eyes! His eyes were red from holding back his tears. IN a second, Krsna had fallen to the ground, weeping in separation. Vrinda felt like hugging him, and consoling him. The Lord was feeling despair at his own leela!!
The gopikas saw Krsna crying, and stopped the Rasa Leela. What had happened to their Kanha? Chandravali looked forlorn seeing her Kanhaiya so anguished. Krsna looked at Vrinda, and asked, "Is my Radha still angry with me? Does she never want to see me again?"
Vrinda patted Krsna's arms, but Krsna burst into more tears. Vrinda decided to relieve him of his grief. She spoke of Radha's pain and separation...
