Gangtok & D'jling...Prashant all the way

I was in Gangtok & Darjeeling last week. Both cities were full of posters of Prashant Tamang. Sponsored by local product companies and friends/ fans. I spoke to a large cross-section of local population. The whole region is so proud of Prashant and is voting only for him. People also tell stories of the hardships that Prashant has gone through and there is a clear sympathy wave too.

With such strong regional voting, and his reasonably good voice, Prashant to me, is a fore-runner to be II3.

a lot of people are predicting he's going to be II3, but then we'll just have another sandeep on our hands. i hope those who're voting for him now save enough money to buy his album when it's out, that would be the real test afterall.

All 5 are good in their own right. No single person has all the qualities of a perfect II, that's no one is perfect on all counts. Therefore, it is a toss up and how the voting public reacts episode to episode. I just wanted to share with forum members what I saw and gathered in the two cities.

Yeah. Very true. Regional voting is going on (though its not the right thing, but can't help it). 😆 😆

Nowadays,people are saying that funds are being collected in most of the major cities / towns of Nepal as well. And its being sent to Darjeeling etc for the purpose of sending sms'es in Prashant's name 😆 😆 😆

In addition,people from bordering areas of Nepal are going to India everyday to send SMS'es for Prashant (as its a totally open border, unlike borders with Pakistan, Bangladesh etc etc) 😆 😆 😆 )

The Nepalese diaspora in the UK / Middle east and Hong Kong (quite a large number) are probably doing things on similar lines 😆 😆

So won't be surprised, if Prashant becomes the winner (though I don't feel that he deserves it. In my view, Amit is better, but can't help 😆 😆 ).

And even if Prashant wins it, its not that bad thing for me (I find him better than the IL-2 winner Mr. Sandeep Acharya 😆 😆 😆 )

This is such a shame. I have nothing against Prashant but voting blindly is not correct.
