I think Sony plays a big part in choosing who gets eliminated every week. I don't think that the votes are rigged, but the editing process (by that I mean choosing what to show and what not to show .. what to highlight and what to downplay) heavily influences the public and their impressions of the contestants.

But I still agree that bashing Sony is very pointless and silly. At the end of the day, it is a BUSINESS. People who work for Sony get up every morning and go to work to make money. They do what they can to get more advertising to help their business grow. So I find it really dumb to be mad at a business for doing what they're supposed to be doing.

And also, even if gimmicks aren't used to increase ratings, it's almost impossible to make a reality show "reality." You just can't show a story objectively, because every editing decision you make will be subjective and a reflection of the person editing it.

So yes, please stop bashing Sony because it's just silly!
