Sandeep challenges Karunya

The race to the finish is on Indian Idol 2 and the final contenders, Sandeep and Karunya are doing everything possible to outdo each other.
Of late, Sandeep was said to have been sidelined on the show while Karunya seemed to be hogging the limelight. Now Sandeep has challenged Karunya, which the latter has accepted.
Sandeep says, 'Yes. I have challenged Karunya. He is used to singing songs that require a high pitch. I want him to sing a softer song. I have suggested that he sing 'Ab Mujhe Raat Din Tumhara Hi Khayal Hai' by Sonu Nigam. Let's see how he performs.'
Sandeep feels that he is the underdog. He says, 'I know there is lot of hype around Karunya and it worries me as the stakes are high. But I have complete confidence in my fans... '
Meanwhile Karunya too has suggested a song for his rival, 'I have not sung a soft number for quite some time now. I m working hard towards it and I am sure I will do my best. Even I have asked him to sing 'Ina meena deeka',' he says.
