I'm so happy to see this topic. I used to think I'm the only one who just can't get over Indian Idol 1. It was such a great show and the contestants were so talented and so adorable. I totally agree with Aditya. Hats off to Indian Idol 1 contestants and hats off to Indian Idol 1 fans. 😊 👏

Interviewer: What were your reactions when you catapulted to stardom almost
overnight?
Rahul Vaidya: Initially all of us, who were a part of the final rounds, didn't
have an idea that we would be transformed into celebrities almost
overnight. I had no clue that people would get so emotionally
attached with each one of us. Their expectations were high and they
associated so much from us. That was really a big surprise.
When I was out of the competition and went home for the first time,
I realised how famous I had become. Hordes of people who I'd never
even seen were waiting for me to come home. So much that later on I
had to appoint a security guard for my building. It was a dream come
true.

Thanks Sonaahana for this topic.. I still have wonderful memories of II1.. I remember how I was so tensed for the last few days of the competition, I wanted Abhi to win so badly..the day the result episode was telecast, my friend who knew somebody in II1 unit called me in the afternoon immediately after the episode was shot and told me that Abhi had own.. I called up all my friends and told them.. so when I was watching the result episode I already knew the result.. still I was tensed!!! 😆 😆 😆

When I see Abhi and other II1 contestants now, I feel I am watching people who were born and who grew up in front of my eyes.. it's a strange attachment!!

Oh sweety baby sis ahana tats sooooooo sweet of u 2 post topic on II 1. But above all I miss sweetipie Abhijeet sawant. tho I didnt c indian idol 1 full I saw first few en last few episodes of II 1 when amit en Abhi was competing. at tat time I felt bad 4 Amit sana too he was so sad inside at tat time when Abhi won indian idol.
