Audience votes continue to terrorise reality show contestants. Now, Panna Gill, often touted as the 'ideal' idol has been voted out of Indian Idol. Viewers will see him leave the show today, at 9 p.m. Panna's elimination shows that the best singers may not survive till the end. Previously, many talented people have had to leave owing to unfavourable audience polling. "Panna being voted out is a huge loss for Indian Idol," says host Mini Mathur. An equally disappointed Farah Khan, a judge on the show, says, "This kind of judgement is not only shocking, it's tragic. India is losing out on real talent in this manner." Panna, on the other hand, doesn't seem too disheartened. "I am not going away for good," he says.
