Reel life foes in Aitraaz, Kareena and Priyanka are best of buddies when they appear on the Indian idol episode to be relayed tonight on Sony. What's more? Priyanka will air her musical talent when she sings 'Katra katra zaraa zaraa' from Karam, leaving the judges Sonu Nigam, Anu Malik, Farah Khan spellbound.

This all happens when one of the contestants, Amey Date requests the star-guests Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra to sing. Priyanka turns to Kareena to remind her about the song she rendered for Govind Nihalani's Dev.

But Kareena reasons that it's Priyanka who has a better voice. So, Priyanka gets up on stage and obliges. Tonight's episode also has Amey Date singing Manna Dey 'Laga chunri mein daag' which has an overwhelmed Priyanka in tears. "It's my father's favourite song and he sings it all the time," she tells Amey.

Kareena goes a step further and tells Date, "I may not be around to see you in the next two-three weeks. But as far as I'm concerned you're the Indian Idol."

IF THE presence of two of Bollywood's popular reigning ac tresses — Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra on the sets of Indian Idol 2 wasn't enough to set the stage on fire, the spirited finalists put up outstanding performances to impress the viewers, judges and the high-profile celebrity guests.

The theme was melodies from the 1950s, 60s and 70s, with the soulful renditions getting the celebrity guests choked with emotion.

Priyanka was so ecstatic and moved by the perfor mances that her eyes never seemed to blink and when they did, she had tear drops in them! With a deep passion and interest for singing, Priyanka confessed that if she had not been an actress, she would have definitely contested for the Indian Idol title herself.

"I love singing to myself… and have always aspired to be on a stage like this," exclaimed Priyanka.

New entrant Anuj Shar ma's foot tapping song 'Bachna aye hasino' did not miss its target either, which happened to be Kareena Kapoor. She could be seen tapping her feet to Anuj's performance.

"It's been fun being with the young contestants. They are a talented bunch of people and are in their teens or early twenties. They are young achievers. I think Sony TV has given them a brilliant opportunity and platfor m through Indian Idol to exhibit their talent in front of the entire nation. I am really delighted to be a part of this…" observed an impressed Kareena.

The finalists were ecstatic with the liberal praises from the judges. In the end, the finalists and the Bollywood stunners did a memorable final perfor mance together.
