Indian Idol 2: A Big Mess

I feel like the whole show is ruined and the results and future Idol don't really matter anymore. From strange voting in the piano rounds (Jolly, Yashashree, Ravi) , to excuses about bad throats and chicken pox (get a vaccine stupid!) and we all know Jolly would have been out next so why does she get entry into II3? , to Sagar's untimely exit due to format changes (to accomodate Neha), to so many talentless contestants with shallow personalities...it's just all very disappointing. I hate more than half of the people on the show, either they can't sing, have a horrible personality, or both. The only reason I still watch is to make sure that the only deserving person Amey wins the title. I like Sandeep and Panna as well but singing wise they are strictly OK. In the girls only Meenal seems level headed but her singing isn't anything to brag about either. I would have expected the second season of Idol to be serious business with immensely talented people competing fiercely for the title. Instead we've got a bunch of clowns who don't hold any real promise of making it far.

i dont agree.....i think most of the singers are very talented....they have jsut started give them a chance and they will make it big!

i think that indian idol 2 has many great singers!
compared to indian idol 1 !!
and also guys remember this is only the 2nd gala!!
did we see such standards in ii1

Well I think the II2 contestants should have had the upper hand by knowing how it works and what is expected of them. They should be raising the bar and only a few are actually doing that. First season I can understand if it didn't start out great because it was all very new and uncertain. But come on, you have to prove you deserve to be there regardless.
