I liked Ravi's performace very much throughout. His singing skills are much better than others. I am currently in Mumbai doing in depth research on Ravi. As of now unable to meet him, but met some of his friends and pupils. I am really amazed with his social activities and other aspect of his personality. He really deserves to be Indian Idol. I will publish my finding on this bulletin board later.

Ravi fans, please explain to me why you all think he did a decent job at the gala? No sur. His voice is not melodious. Even Sagar and Panna dont have sweet voices but they sing in tune and their notes go high and low properly.
Ravi was not good at all. Even Sonu Nigam said that based on singing alone, between Ravi, Sagar and Karunya, Ravi should go. So where is his talent shining through. All you folks are simply sympathetic towards him because he looks somewhat bechaara but is it fair to support him for just that reason. FYI, everyone is struggling to get a foothold in the industry so please judge based on talent alone. Not because someone gave up their medical seat or struggled for 10 years or is doing social work.
God alone knows what pull this guy has. According to Sony TV rules, no one who was in top 28 this time can audition for any other Sony reality show like Fame Gurukul or Indian Idol, next season. But Ravi was FG. Technically he should not even have auditioned.

I disagree that most of us are biased because of his age. Amey isnt that young and neither was Jyotsna. Kshitij had a bunch of supporters and he is a married guy. On the other hand, Neha is the youngest and quite a few people cannot stand her because she cannot sing. So its Ravi's supporters who are biased and blind towards his inability to sing well on such a platform.

His song was very melodius to me and other thousands people who voted him. Please go and listen again. Its never off the tune. I compared the song with original track. before that, please give up all the ill-feelings you have for a singer, for none of his fault. he is singing because people likes him.

Sonu has smthing personal against Ravi thats pretty evident every body's parents sit in audience & talk emotional abt their kids but the moment Ravi said abt his concerns on her mom's happiness sonu had a problem why??????? ........ if u agree with what sonu has to say abt Ravi than why not u also agree with Annu & Farah who praised him for his performance .......... well if the judges are to be the authority then why was qazi voted in each time he was in danger zone .......... see its personal choice ppl like Ravi and his singing PERIOD.
As far as Ravi's singing goes its superb , that guy has a natural decency & sweetness in his voice the only thing that has to be done is he needs to be groomed & become more polished with his words & mannerism........... he is too raw for this fake world of glamor & glitz............. ppl have problems with his smile too man he has a smiling face he was smiling even when he was outta of FG , dude he learnt to smile in adverse condition isn't he giving a positive message across................ and i cud not spot him smiling when sagar got out well u guys have an imagination to defame& degrade anybody......

I have nothing personal against or in favor of any contestant. All I know about them is from what is shown on TV.
Singing popular songs requires a certain manner of rendition which unfortunately Ravi is unable to achieve. As far as judges opinion goes, Farah's expertise is not singing and Anu Malik that day had praised everyone, including Sandeep!! After the gala, Sandeep and Ravi should have been the bottom 2. Sagar didnt deserve to go.
I still feel that there is a set of people who are over protective about Ravi and these people will never admit to it even if their favorite falters.
Having said all this, I must say I have no opinion about his personality or character. I am sure he is a fine human being. My comments are only about his singing and singing alone.

i m not ravi tripathi fan, but frankly speaking Ravi wasn't bad on that day. he was good. I really put him ahead of sagar and karuna (for that day only).

There are couple of reason for sagar to be voted out.
he is cutest and lovely, but he faced competion with Panna.

Panna's performence according to me was best on that day, and on the other hand sagar's was average.

So, on the basis of performence all gilrs voted for panna. On the other hand every contestant have their unique voters but in the case of sagar and panna they have common voters.

So, possible sagar's votes diveded and went to panna.
It might be the reason he voted out......
