An Ideal Idol...

I would like a calm and collected discussion on what you think an IDEAL Idol should be....

What would you like to see in your Idol first and foremost followed by other details....feel free to express points and give examples for clarity....but do refrain from bashing one another...😆😆😆.

IMO....

First and formost is talent...Singing is the talent in question here...once that is established then one can perhaps focus on other things like looks, personality and so called "X" Factor. After this a little focus on his/her journey to get here perhaps....

Some facts that come to mind immedaitely, that unfortunately take precedence over Singing, hence influence the voting patterns, like looks, regionalism, nature, etc....

Regionalism should completely be banned in every form...even the smallest mention affects voting eg:so and so, Prince of Rajasthan or so and so, Bengal ki Beti....OR judges passing comments like "Gujarat ka naam roshan kar rahe ho" and "Hyderabad ki Shaan".....These phrases should be completely banned...we are Indians and looking for an INDIAN IDOL....not a regional idol

Regionalism affects voting....if voting patterns are not puclicised on TV then regionalism will not be promoted. (Besides we will be spared from threads pertaining to regional voting😆)

Voters should really get their priorities right and vote for talent as oppsed to looks because they can be deceiving. Everything on TV has chances of being scripted and possibly rigged....voters need to have open minds (having open ears would definitely be a plus😉) Sweet talks should not be a criteria of Indian Idol...well a little part, okay, can not be denied, but really that should not influence voters blindly....

Background also plays some part in selecting an idol....who is one we look up to....if they have run away from home to this or dropped outta school to come here, I am sorry but this should not be accepted or high lighted as it will not be promoting the right way of doing things. If they have a career already in something like dentistry or military etc then these are examples to be considered as they will have a positive impact on kids looking up their idols....

Sad family stories and sympathy should not be allowed on the sets, either.

No favoritism from judges..I know they are only human...but in the past some have been bent on supporting a non deserving contestant inspite of everything...Nick names for contestants promote favoritism...some judges get by just fine without them.

Hope I have not offended anyone...my comments are derived from having watched all the Idol Contests and cover them all in general....please feel free to agree or disagree.
