Sreeram, Shivam And Swaroop...that sums up the Indian idol for me
I still remember Sreeram's audition where he came across as one of the most ready and matured voice in the auditions...he is the one who has grabbed every gala as an opportunity to showcase his versatility and has gone from strength to strength to establish himself on the top of the pack...His long hair has irked me...( he looked so adorable dressed as a girl in that childhood pic tho) so a hair makeover y'day sorted that out for me y'day....he has the sweetest smile and a great voice...I hope he makes it to the finals....along with my other favorite who happens to be Shivam.... his curly mop of hair and his toothy smile is to die for....and y'day's performance of "Parda hai parda"..mmmm melted my heart because for the first time I saw him let go of his shyness and inhibitions and go all out as far as expressions go...he was smiling, flirting and enjoying the mood of the song...for me he REALLY arrived y'day as a performer
And now Swaroop....he struck a chord with me when he did an impromptu jugalbandi of "phatak"with his fellow rajashthani in the 2nd round...he has this magic, this earthiness in his voice which makes him that rare talent....he has played with surs from early on like the other children play with toys coming from an accomplished musical family...in management we have this term called T- shaped experts...these are people who have deep knowledge in one domain( represented by the vertical part of the T) and a broader wider knowledge in other domains too ( represented by the horizontal of the T)... so Swaroop was quite proficient in the folk genre and II has given him the chance to broaden his skills in the other forms of singing...I remember when i was taking driving lessons the day the instructor would ask me to do something new, i would get so jittery that I would even goof up on things that I was doing well previously...I think that is the case with him too....to broaden his skills he probabbly needs a mentor or guru who will guide him in adapting to the new forms...II is too short a time period to hone up those skills....he needs to spend time under an expert to polish him for commerical bollywood singing....and when he does that the boy can do wonders....with a different voice and a strong grounding in the classical/folk genre he has more chances of succeeding (and succeeding faster) than even Sreeram or Shivam...
but right now I am rooting for a final between Shivam and Swaroop...but Swaroop, even if he gets voted out next week, has made a place in my heart and and has earned a fan for life...
So go ...
Shivam
Sreeram
Swaroop....

I definitely agree with this 's' fever that's taken over indian idol..heck I even predicted I'd marry a guy with an 's' name after I saw my love for sonu, srk and shivam 😆

though for me instead of swaroop, I'm for shashi, shivam and sreeram 😊

but bechara shashi had to leave 😔

That was nicely written man. Don't get to see such good posts very often. Good analysis of Swaroop. 😊

Don't forget my name also...😛

Ya, I am also missing Shashi. He along with Sreeram and Shivam were the ideal guys I would have loved to see in Top 3.

Not Swaroop. He hasn't matured, even though his earlier efforts were more commendable. At this stage, there is a high probability of him getting voted out, which is a fair decision. IMO, he is deperciating, no offense
