The best is Sunidhi Chauhan... The first female judge who knows something about singing unlike Farah, Sonali and Alisha (well she is a good singer but an awful judge)...

Sunidhi is just perfect, an amazing singer and a very powerful judge!!!

For me its Sonu Nigam..a thorough professional in his attitude, behaviour, and judgement.

Actually come to think of it, Sunidhi is an awesome judge, too. She IS the female version of Sonu Nigam, after all!

I think of Anu Malik and I think DRAMA. I think of Farah Khan and I think TAMASHA ... still can't get over her "sur vur gaye bhaar mein" comment in JJWS. Udit Narayan, Javed Akhtar, and Kailash Kher --- all three great at what they do, but not good judges at all. Sonali Bendre- no comments.

Now we have Sonu Nigam, Sunidhi Chauhan, and Salim Merchant. Although I've been thoroughly enjoying Sunidhi and Salim's presence this season, but I think they have yet to prove themselves. Auditions are a lot easier to judge because either contestants are good or they're not. Right now, there's no picking the best of the best and it makes saying yes or no a lot easier. I think real judging comes in later on in the season.

This then leaves us with Sonu Nigam --- who, of course, I would've picked without this long analysis. I absolutely adore Sonu Nigam - as a judge, as a singer, and as a performer. He's simply awesome! I did not watch the early seasons of Idol, but his judging was fantastic in SRGMP Lil Champs Season 2.

without a doubt, sonu was simply the best judge... :)

sunidhi seems to be alright, but it is too early to say whether she is a good judge or not... it made me laugh when she corrected one of the contestants for the 'talaffuz' today... it reminded me of javed akhtar...

Yes, and besides judging well, she's the only judge after a long time who knows to keep Anu Malik's mouth shut!!!

Well, the consenus is Sonu ji, and even if it wasn;'t, I'd vote for him. He is a true connoseiur of versatitlity. He is a really gifted person, in not only music, but also of mimicry. 😆 I had seen his concert a while back, and not one note did he miss, and at the same time, he kept dancing vivaciously. And then he went on to do Billy Jean, which he essayed perfectly. Hats off to this genius!!👏👏

I haven't really seen Sunidhi judging. I don't follow II as much, so can't say how she is. But I'm sure she is good!

Sonu so far.....As he has proven himself for several years being on II...
