In American Idol, no contestant wants to sing first. Many people who are following the show would turn their tellys late and miss the performance of the contestant and not vote for him/her. Of course this happens in the earlier rounds when the herd is getting culled.
It was interesting to see this probably happens in Indian Idol also inspite of voting being more regional in nature in India. Rajdeep landed up in bottom 2/ bottom list, 2 times after he sang as number 1. Bhavya was in bottom 2 after going first the earlier day. This of course does not happen for contestants with strong block of votes who vote for them no matter what.
Did any of you find similar coincidences (!) for other contestants that you follow?
