All jokes aside, I would rather see Kakkar family over egoist like Govinda or Neetu Kapoor.

Atleast they have carved out a niche in alternative music that serves as inspiration and template for aspiring singers to diverge away from movie singing that is next to impossible to get groove into, given the amount of nepotism and barriers that is present now.

This is very true. My main issue is if contestants are made to sing their songs we can expect a super mediocre round. Their songs are great for clubs/parties, not so much for a singing competition. I’m glad I don’t watch most full episodes anymore 😂

IDOL 10 had a Judge's episode where 8 contestants sang Neha's songs with her. That was one of the most viewed (pre-final) episodes of Indian Idol 10.

He was also the first runner-up of Rising Star. He is v good. He was the judges’ favourite & had a large fan base during Rising Star. Apart from talent, he was always grounded & v refined in his demeanour.
