I mean give me a break! When did Imlie had a normal sisterly relationship with Malini to consider herself as mausi? She vowed to protect her "parivar" from Malini, she vowed to end her.

From Malini's POV, Imlie took her husband, his love, her perfect life then why on earth did Imlie think that she can be mausi to Gudiya

When AKT was in picture, she just wanted to oust Malini and now suddenly she remembers the behen ka rishta.

Sorry guys! But Imlie's "Gudiya humar parivar hai, hum uski mausi hai" was very tone-deaf

I know it's great for showing Imlie's insecurities but I had to rant about it

That's really inconsistent writing by the creatives. Ever since Malini was ousted from the Tripatis, till she met Gudiya, not even once they have shown Imlie thinking about Malini, her kid or her whereabouts. I read on TT that Imlie used to be concerned about Gudiya & Malini's carelessness towards the kid in her womb, even before ASR's entry. If then, they should have surely shown Imlie being concerned about Gudiya even when Malini wasn't in picture, especially since they had this plot in mind from before itself. Just bringing in the kid into picture all of a sudden and trying to push it down our throats that Maasi feeling of Imlie will not work at least for me. It looks superficial to me. And what makes her think that she can storm into C house and claim Gudiya's ownership, especially when the baby's immediate relatives are alive? I wanted to see a guilty Imlie. But, didn't expect that CVs will play so badly with her character.

you are right -- it makes zero sense. if imlie is mausi, then where was those sisterly feelings when the two of them were fighting over aditya? 🤷 sorry, but this sudden burst of family tie is absurd given the complex toxic history the two women share.

yup. they were rivals to the core. "he is my husband." vs "no, he is my husband!" -- that was their total dynamic. the CVs shouldn't pretend like much of the audience isn't aware of the 400 eps that came before. 😅

and who is she to care so much about whether a baby is well taken care of or not -- that is why we have child services -- please call 1098

I find the legal absurdities even more irritating. not calling police when you find an abandoned child? thinking you have the right to take a child from a natural parent -- why on earth do we have laws? courts? police? the child protection officers?

these are the moments that make me cheer for the villain instead because the female lead is so annoying. imlie cannot sweep in and claim mausi status so randomly. and even if she is technically mausi, so what? the child has other relatives too....

Under no circumstances can Imlie claim any rights on Gudiya. She doesn't have any relation to her but alas! She will take her away and change her future
