Well I am only here because of Aryan. And I have developed a sort of attachment with his character. It's once in a decade on ITV sort of a character if not lifetime. I haven't seen a ML like this before.

With that being said, I don't have really high hopes with the makers. This track has a lot of potential. So did some of the previous tracks that were messed up big time. So I switch on my tv bracing myself each time that this track can lead anywhere.

But my grudge is where this seems to go right now. Akt giving those pictures is clear sign that his character is going to bail out and whitewashed. Which I don't really mind since I don't really care about his character. My concern is that if they're going to nullify Aryan's whole trauma and belief system just to bring in a new villain.

We do need a strong villain. But it shouldn't be Arvind, as many friends are predicting. That would be an insult to Aryan's character. His whole existence would be jeopardized. It's such a common trope on ITV. The good relative/mother turning out a villain. Yet I've always found this twist horrible. What about actually goodness and trust in relations. Should one never trust a relation whatsoever because you never know when they will betray you?

So being 'mad' at a character is pass and parcel of the same. What is unfair is to bring up writers in order to excuse the character's actions because we are looking at it from the perspective of a story and peoples actions in it. It will be judged as one is normally.

At the end of the day it is a show with fictional characters... but we are here to discuss parts of the story and characters. So bringing in writers in this conversation is futile.

Bold: Exactly! And this time round if they screw this track I am not sticking around.

Also wishing you a happy Ramadan :)

Don’t get me wrong I totally agree with you that Imlies actions don’t make any sense but I just meant that in trying to figure out that’s coming next (your original question) it’s kind of moot to try to figure it out logically based on her or the show so far.

I guess I didn’t make sense bc I was typing while eating 😂😂 because okay so just looking at the plot: first she has the tandav/I trust aryan, then she doesn’t trust aryan, wedding track happens which was a disaster, then bam day after wedding it’s revenge track back.

If MV wasn’t leaving/hasn’t threatened to quit/whatever is going on BTS then there wouldn’t even be a revenge track so trying to figure out what imlie the character might do is impossible bc the show itself doesn’t know what it’s doing. Does that make sense? The story and characters doesn’t exist without the writers so all should be discussed together imo.

Because now that they’ve had Imlie tell AKT off and say multiple times she’s doing everything for the rathores including her ABP, it would be super annoying if they went back on it but that’s as likely to happen as anything else bc the writers haven’t kept her consistent. And thank you!

They will need to make premise for Aditya's exit now fully from the show.

Yes we need not bring writer's into this discussion but a story teller only creates all these fictional characters and it is upto him or her on how to present which character.

Assume the culprit is Aditya and he is put on jail... next what?

Assume culprit is Neela's husband etc ... next what?

The strong tussle... the purpose of moving the story needs concrete steps.

The original serial had Aditya and Imlie (Archi and Baha) married.. Malini actually marry the lawyer... and Imlie during her various college/ career growth coming across two guys and Aditya turning possessive about her... and at end Imlie returns back to Aditya when Aditya is managing Malini and her lawyer's kid... Serial had a good near 3.5 year span.

========================================================

Here as Aryan's character which is fully new yet powerful and Aryan/Imlie have got married... the script has deviated way too much from original... so depends on which way they wish to go...

The story telling became non existent unfortunately in Imlie. It is only RASAMs and TAUNTS the serial offers. Each and every character seems inconsistent to original self. Unles this is how story telling is intended to be... these type of thought process may atrract viewers for a while but soon that zeal withers away

For all the misgivings I had about the post marriage track due to the sheer mess the marriage track was. I FREAKING LOVE IT. It is such a perfect mix of everything. The angst, the love, the pain, the friendship, the confusion, the anger, the awkwardness...EVERYTHING

Imlie working so hard on this case and every time she gets tired or demotivated, she remembers Aryan's tears. YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW MUCH I LOVE PRESENT TRACK!!!

For a 1000 steps Aryan has taken towards Imlie I finally see her take 10 toward him. I hope she stays true to the 50-50.

But no matter what I still can't seem to forgive Imlie. I can't seem to look past her words and her actions. For every time there is a show of faith from Aryan's side, a show of blind trust I just see how Imlie doesn't even hold a fraction of it for him. No, my issue is not the fact that she doesn't love him. I will never hold anything against Imlie for not immediately falling in love with Aryan because she has the right, every woman has that right. But to the one person she had called a partner, to the one person she had insisted was her friend... was that her trust in a friend? that fragile?

With the track shifting to Aryan's revenge and trauma. The driving force behind this character I am so scared that they are going to ruin it. This is his story, this is his fear, his past, his revenge and his trauma. If the f*cking ruin it to make place for Imlie's mahaanta it would be it for me. I still remember the way they made mental trauma a joke just because Imlie had to be the one to 'cure' Arpita smiley11

If they pull a stunt like this with this track I am done.

The revenge is such a big part of Aryan. As a character it has been built around the revenge that if they brush this of as a misunderstanding or as misplaced anger it will ruin his character to an extent I won't be able to take it. For me Aryan is what has not only brought me to watch this show but has kept me at it... for over a 100 episodes. It is Aryan I watch this for, and if the ruin his essence who am I even rooting for then?

So this brings me to my very important question. What next? what happens as we near the conclusion of the revenge track? what will the outcome look like? what is most likely to be?

@Bold Post revenge track is still mysterious b'coz i guess even makers do not have idea for that smiley36

But seeing current tracks where Aryan helping Imlie to uncover Arvind's death in one way or the other, It feels like Aryan is hiding something from Imlie, He is showing only one side of the picture.

There is more to this than meets the eye.

1st. Aryan seems to protecting Arvind's Image at any cost..

2nd. For Arpita's story progression with Sundar they need to show Arpita moving on from past..

3rd. Aryan blaming Aryan for all has some weight in it, Maybe Aryan did pursued Aditya in past, For not publishing articles related to Arvind but failed.

4th. Aryan's revenge looks like Aryan wants to give experience what has Arvind experienced. Aryan just want Aditya to admit that he did mistake during reporting.

5th. New villian will be a second female lead i guess. This FL will be either related to Arvind or Aditya..

6th. For Arvind, He wanted all Rathore Group of Co. for himself, And he had affair with this second FL just like in Iss pyaar ko kya nam du, Where Shyam married to Anjali only just for lavish life style and money, Khusi not knowing that he was already married. Arvind's intention turned negative when this second female lead entered in his life.

7th For Aditya, During the reporting of Arvind's case, This second female lead became informant for Aditya and came across Arpita Rathore. Knowing everything that Arvind cheated her, Betrayed her she devasted and wanted revenge.

8th Knowing every personal thing about Arvind she fed this information to Aditya in a twisted way.

Guys this my take for ongoing revenge track..

For me , what i want out of this track is

1) akt exit with partial / full fault -going off somewhere to redeem himself.

2) aryan accepting that imlie has a strong hold on him.

The secnd because, henis visibly torn between suporting imlie in her quests and letter her in to his world.

If this track was handled well , it will make aryan confront what imlie truly is to him , by then he will either learn that meethi forced her in to this or remember her words of never ever falling in love again.

He will distance himself , which i really need

Imlie needs to realise how valuable aryan is

Future track possibilities :

1) imlie realizing her feelings

2) main villain , for multitude of reason , i think it is goig to be arvind or someone related to arvind

Lets look at the facts

1) ASR is crafted in such a way that he is into details , he thinks calculavatively before he acts. He is extremely intelligent.

if there was second villain involved , how could he have missed that and solely pursued akt as villain.

Unless arvind was his blind spot , like shyam was to original ASR

Both the ASR have been potrayed tp worship their jeejus

2)enter imlie , imlie doesnt have any emotional connection to arvind . She is going to find the full truth

But will ASR believe her ? Will arpi believe her ?

More MUs , more angst

Arpi /naru can turn vamp , they have been to loving for itv standards

They could go anjali way (after shyams reveal )and distance themselves from the leads

Once the Mus cleared , sundar arpi track can come

By then , some distance would have been created between the leads

Redeemed akt will enter imlies life again drawing parallel to when asr entered when adi and imlie were separated

They will show the difference , ultimately arylie lovr wins.

for some reason I can't stomach Arvind being negative... it is very uncomfortable and extremely distasteful. Turning Arvind negative really just dismisses and trivialises ASR's trauma.

Copying what @shabia1 said because I feel the exact same way

"My concern is that if they're going to nullify Aryan's whole trauma and belief system just to bring in a new villain.

Bold: Agreed, but the track has always largely been predictable (at least to me). I remember being the first one to say that Aryan will leverage his revenge plan to get Imlie to marry him. Yes the reasons of his actions in my head were different but you know things like that. But with uncertainty around the story right now, I find myself clueless about the upcoming track. I don't want to deep dive because I might end up getting my hopes up and the actual execution would be plain disappointing. But with the BTS drama and uncertainty of what is the conclusion also has me curious. Because this track does have so much potential, but the more the potential the more the space to screw up... like do you see my dilemma 🤪

Pink: I see your point (much cleared now lol)

I understand your plight , but bringing in a second villain -arvind related will also diminish ASR capabilities as a character.

This is muddy waters right now , wondering how they are going to navigate it , while keeping the integrity of ASR intact.

Cause thats all i care about right now.

I dont care what powerfool imliya does.

Another way they can go is : imliya refusing to accept akt at fault so she tries to deep dive and russles some rival ceo in that matter.

Creates a new villain altogether , who can be a female.

Who becomes obsessed with asr or sth.

sth?

this way is much better than Arvind or someone related to him becoming -ve. They could do some great profession related tracks as well (lot's of scope) till they find a concrete villain.
