I have only ONE WISH….
Can they STOP showing females, children or for that matter any one being treated like or being thrown out together with rubbish, packed to be sent off to the dumpster or trying to amplify the insignificance of a person by having scores of people standing around and not being spotted by a single person & have more trash dumped upon?!
This is not the 90s where such scenes are digestible in the name of trying to show hatred or invoke shock element
A life is a life regardless of whether you are poor, born out of wedlock, a step child, orphan etc
And to make it worse it’s even more revolting/ insulting to show females/ elder female relatives being the ones executing such acts
If wishes were horses....
Thank you for saying this!!
I don't know if you've only started recently watching this show, but this serial has sort of thrived on such scenes supposedly meant to invoke the shock or disgust or whatever reaction it generally causes to people's sensibilities.
Overuse of words like aukaat, naukrani, najaayaz, rakhail, caricaturish portrayal of rich people, caricaturish portrayal of a step mother (Imlie's naani), having women publicly tear off the clothes of another woman, being trafficked etc., I mean, there is no end.
Probably goes to show that ITV hasn't advanced much beyond the common 90s tropes! This serial basically left no female with an ounce of dignity, starting with Malini, Aparna, Radha and all the nonsense they had spew out of their mouths to shock the audience was truly something! And of course, it requires a male, be it Aditya (former and current) or Aryan to come and set things right for the females!
