Let's take stock of the two couples and who are really the classy ones. I think the balance has changed.
Aditya - only one in family to go to college, became a regional journalist and just got demoted for not knowing professionalism.
Malini - some kind of lecturer in college (BA, at most MA) who is the daughter of a has-been artist with an endless bank account and an embarrassing mother. Also, just got fired.
Imlie - state topper who dropped out of college now that she got a job (for the story), but otherwise would have graduated. Also a woman who respected the boundaries of civility and refused a man who remarried against her wishes and then wanted to cheat with her. Fought for the male victim in an assault case, etc and walked out when he mistreated her.
Aryan - old money rich dude who probably has fancy international MBA and at least 10 companies. Raised by two progressive women who don't think Imlie is a kalank divorcee - so he doesn't think so either. Believes in a woman's choice to leave a bad marriage and stand on her own.
I think the classy couple is Arylie, not Adilie. This is objectively speaking an imbalance of class (not just in the money sense). A college lecturer who wants to assault her way into her younger sister's marriage cannot make one half of a classy couple.
Also, Imlie is deluded if she thought she ever had a happy relationship like she accused Malini (of breaking) a few days ago. Imlie's relationship with Aditya was a fuse that burned quickly and the 5 minutes of happy moments in between all the fighting over him with the sister does not make a happy marriage. She had no emotional or physical intimacy in that relationship either. This guy was constantly between the sister and her even after separating. So, her perspective of what makes a marriage is very teenager-like. The CVs need to show her growing into an adult marriage of her choice, not a barely-legal child marriage with an older man - made sexy.
