The basic premise of gaining appreciation is making me unhappy. How easily they simply make the ts not even acknowledge her good deeds and subject her to the most vile treatment.

Yes, the entire purpose of this storyline is what you mentioned - to challenge age old thinking of society who values upari beuty to andar ki khoobsurti. Everyone would rather have AM together even though they are not compatible rather than accept Adilie, despite the fact they love each other and have a soul connect that is visible to anyone that looks close enough.

The younger T's could see how Imlie and Adi belong with each other and were willing to hear the full truth before passing any judgement. The older T's do not want to give Adile the benefit of any doubt as their main issue is that log kya kahenge, that Adi married a naukrani.

So the makers are using this entire track to shed light on this prevalent issue and hopefully show a decent redemption track for the older T's

Wizard the issue is not that they are not acknowledging her good deeds. Aparna last episode said that she was honhar and mehnati and that she actually adored her. But they cannot get over their society kya kahegi chashma.

Maybe they are using this track for Imlie to remind them why they fell in love with her and how despite her social status she is worthy of their son. Imlie is very innocent in thinking that this will change things, which I doubt. But a girl who can hope that telling the truth in English could have changed the outcome, she can very well assume that showcasing her talents may get her back the love and acceptance from the sr. T's. Will she succeed? I am not sure.

Very true. It's like just one thing like this can overshadow all that she has done for them selflessly all along. All of a sudden she isn't given even the basic respect as a human she deserves. The things that upset me the most was throwing water on her and the second calling her najayaz. It was like scratching her deepest scar
