Adilie : first ever - Page 2

So my story is that I saw the promo as was not interested at all. I have this habit of watching just the precap of a lot of shows, just to keep track of the story. Came to understand much later that it does not work with Imlie🤣

Anyway, saw the balloons date promo which said that Adi loved Imlie. So went back a few episodes to see the PD ones first, then went back some more to see from the gunshot episode then went back to see from the first episode.

So my journey with Imlie & Adile was as twisted as their own.😆

Anyway have been hooked since then, enough to get up each morning, watch the episode & come on the forum to discuss.😆

I saw the first promo, and I knew it will take some 30-40 episodes for the male lead to stop hating on the female lead..so left it there. Then I saw in IG the scene where Adi is holding Imlie in his arms in the rain, and both having that moment laughing at each other. Then I knew their journey must have started.. Then I started binge watching from the first epi. 😁

For me this scene was the one which i seen in insta and then binged watched till am marriage track and became a regular viewer and an adilie fan❤️

Come on, kicking off

so i used to watch only Anupama... one day watched GHKPM and liked initial episodes and binged them.. was on that forum and someone mentioned imlie to be an average watch..

was bored with OTT drama happening in Gum so decided to watch one episode of imlie.. just to pass time.. watched 100th episode first.. and was blown by St n GM... then binged the series... but couldnt understand the nuances of Aditya n imlie. was confused as to why this is happening..

rewatched the series and read reviews here and was able to connect a lot of dots that i initially missed.. this is my favorite ITV series ever...

I watched it on tv episode one. It was one my nanu and I started to watch together as we had seen the imlie promo and it seemed different. Especially the way imlie opening scene as she walks up water dam the spark and bond between her and satyakaam had me hooked. I have not looked back since but do miss the spark in her eyes from earlier which I believe will be back soon.

since then the high and lows have made me comeback for I love the way they are handling tracks differently from other shows. It’s so special that one can overlook the flows in other episodes.

In April, me n my whole family was down with Covid. Fortunately, we all had very mild symptoms. As I had to just rest n pass the time, was trying to find something interesting. I usually prefer Turkish/pak dramas, last ITV drama I followed so earnestly was YHM that too till confession. So just came across some clips on Insta of Adilie..if I recollect correctly first one was hut hug thn AKT crying in rain.. I was blown away by Gashmeer's talent... that hut hug I think was one of best hug in my whole TV/movie viewing experience. So, started watching it from 1st episode..with 10/12days finished all the episodes. Sumbul too impressed me in 1st episode itself.

When I saw the first promo of Imlie on TV,I thought OMG OMG Rahil Azam in a new show as a male lead🥳 .So , I suddenly decided to watch the show for him. And when the first episode aired on TV ,After watching the whole episode I realised ki He is not my Rahu baby😭😕🤣🤣🤣.

Uske baad phone uthaya, Google kiya toh pata chala ki He is a Marathi actor "Gashmeer Mahajani "🤣Not my "Rahil Azam"😕 jiske liye show dekhne liye pagal ho jaarahi thi.

After knowing ki ML is GM still I continued watching untill the panauti Adini ki shadi🤢, Uske baad quit the show and fir ek din suddeny SBS mein dekha ki Gunshot track episode aane wala hai. Bhaag bhaag k hotstar gayi dekhne k liye jahan se mene quit ki thi. Fir bhag bhag k IF aayi to participate in all the debate and discussion😃.

Mene Imlie show k liye apne 4 years Ka Turuuu Lobbbb aka gehri dost wali Kdrama ko ditch karke Imlie ki loyal fan bangayi. Mujhe bhi Adi jaisa bohut years k baad realise hua ki kdrama se meri gehri dosti thi pyaar nahi. Pyaar mein toh sirf Imlie se ki🤣🤣🤣. Upcoming episodes dekhne k liye mene Hotstar subscription v le li,mere se raha nahi jaa raha tha raat ko 8.30 pm tak wait karna.

I had subscribed to Hotsar last year due to Covid and started off with Anupama...

I came across the promo of Imlie and the faces were new and the concept looked interesting. There was something about the promo and ST/GM that caught my eye..

Started watching from day one, first day first episode and have been hooked ever since.

Read up on ST/GM whatever I could find 😆 felt like visiting the forum.. especially after the ambulance scene/gunshot scene as I felt those were phenomenal.. The leads and the story kept me riveted, here we all are sharing a journey called Imlie. Have not been invested so much in a show and have not watched much ITV... a few.. and this is the BEST by far.

I had watched IB previously and it was GK show.. that left a sour taste at the end of it.. and when I saw Imlie was produced by the same PH, I was a bit skeptical, but stuck with it.. and boy am I glad I did. The first 2 - 3 episodes were full on NN taunting/beating Imlie/Mithi that made me think as to what I was getting into .. but Adilie jodi ❤️, the mela n what followed was just mesmerizing.😃

For me it was the promo where he tells her something and then she makes faces I don’t knw how I saw it on YouTube ..Hotstar had a deal and I just bought it …for my parents and I ended up getting hooked to it 😅 I think I started after eps. 100 and then binged watched till then and now this everyday wait is a killer but discussions keep going on …

I am not a regular ITV watcher. I have watched IPPKND after it aired and then Rangrasiya for Sanaya and YRHPK at a friend's recommendation. After IPKKND I could not watch any of Gul's shows since they were all overdone for me. I chanced upon Imlie promo while watching cricket at home and started watching from Episode#1. I loved Sumbul and Gashmeer's subtle acting, the organic feel of the story and the fact that the costumes felt normal and not overdone. I absolutely loved this show till the Malini suicide track. Since then I have been watching ...but the show has never for me reached the heights it had prior to that - be it in story telling, dialogues, acting, continuity, consistency of characters, many areas. I liked the Imlie (English exam track) and even though there are still some pretty good scenes we get now and then - there is some element of the show that used to exist that does not anymore for me. I keep hoping - we'll get it back - and while some of the original feel has returned for me recently the show has not to date scaled to the earlier heights.

As we've all discussed many times,, my belief is that the change is on account of makers not knowing how to handle Malini and botching of her character has resulted in this level of impact on every aspect of the show. Even with today's episode - I enjoyed most of it but the show seemed to lack consistency - Adi says he loves Imlie more than anything, but he put her in a vulnerable place, stayed dumbstruck next to her while she was abused and then rushed out with Malini to ask for her help in getting his parents to approve Adilie. It did not make sense to me, after everything he said and did this week for Imlie - this inconsistency ruins the feel of the show for me. Furthermore wrt Imlie's character - while I do believe per current storyline its best she keeps quiet at this time - seeing her take in abuse day after day with no aspect of her original personality left - and her interactions with Adi have her like a lifeless doll...I'm kind of disappointed. Instead of being excited for each episode I'm actually worried whether they will ruin the story further :)

Here's hoping that either the makers get their act right or that I am able to get beyond my expectations and be able to enjoy watching the show as I used too.
