Yes, I do think that they are planning to move Adi-Imlie relationship forward especially from Adi side. Hence this whole vrat thing which was to garner sympathy for Imlie. They had to make sure that they show contrast between the two wives, show her as bechari as possible so that the TRP audience will all be in Imlie's corner.
They are also setting up the stage for the push-pull game. So previously, Adi was pulling away from this relationship and Imlie was pushing it, but in future because of all his scolding, dramas etc Imlie will start pulling away and Adi will push it. All this scolding is definitely going to come back to him.
There has to be a trigger whether it would be new entry or something else, we will just have to wait and see.
I get your point about why they wanted to play up sympathy for Imlie....but I'm just amused thinking that what more sympathy needed to be brought on for a girl who literally almost died a week back trying to save Adi's life? Did that not count for anything?😆.....we all thought that would be a big turning point in showing both Adi and Imlie where their relationship stands......she basically almost died for him and he looked totally shaken up by it.
But hua kya? In just 2 days, that all became rendered pointless....they barely showed 2-3 token scenes of Adi showing bare minimum concern for her and then totally transitioned to showing Imlie as moronic as possible. Everything they are showing with her this week is so obviously moronic and half-baked, even TRP audience will be confused about what to sympathize with.
Also, can sympathy only be generated by showing Imlie like a moron that Adi shouts at? Instead of showing a clash of two point of views, they are only ramping up scenes of Imlie being shown as an obvious idiot to then justify Adi scolding her and making her such an obvious irritant all around......I'm really not sure what the larger picture with that is.
Push/pull toh tab hoga if there was any conflict within Adi post Imlie's return from the hospital....but there is literally zero sense of that. So many people here presumed he's already subconsciously in love with Imlie.....but where is the evidence of that? I don't see any.....love toh chhodo, he's not even on the bare minimum path of feeling some guilt for the state Imlie is in - being treated like a servant in his family and life. If you have any care/concern for a person, you do not allow them to demean themselves like this......Adi simply is too self-absorbed to bother with any of that for Imlie....so what love?
And that again makes me think, even if a new guy shows up in Imlie's life, there is nothing in the story right now to show it would make any difference to Adi.....he just isn't in that zone with Imlie....the staggering levels of self-absorption in this guy are something else.....if Imlie's near death couldn't trigger any sense of actual responsibility in him, nothing can.
He made tall claims of living up to his responsibility towards Imlie when she was dying in the ambulance....but the moment she woke up, all of that went poof.
So I really don't think the writers are showing any inclination of taking this in any concrete direction....they seem to have settled for one episode of a friendly convo b/w Adi-Imlie and then 3 epis later, back to Adi scolding/demeaning Imlie.....this stays on rinse/repeat mode with no movement....even after a high point like the gunshot track.
