Is the show a copy paste of the Turkish drama till now? Or is it loosely based on the same?

If it at all is an adaptation with its own twists and turns it will definitely garner its own sweet spot among audience.

But if it is same ghisa pita copy paste as the one like which has been adapted from TVD I highly doubt being a prime time show on channel like Sony still it would not work.

What do you guys think?

No, they have made a lot changes from the original version - its more of an adaptation with Indian context in mind.

That being said the Turkish show is beautiful!

They should just follow the turkish tracks that show was very interesting. I hope the indian version I hope does not end up too typical and boring realism is needed. Only negative point is the female lead she is just too much like she is pretending to be nice. She could have got Monty arrested first go . And the show is abit slow compared with to the turkish version

No, I disagree. Surili did not want to send Dia's father to jail. As she didn't want her to grow up with that trauma. This is the reason she gave him that chance. But when she saw that Monty is beyond redemption - and that he can harm her family, that is when she got him arrested.

Yes, she is super protective and caring towards her family. And, as a result she might appear to be too forgiving.. but that's something we do for our relationships!

I tried watching the Indian version after having watched the Turkish version. The Turkish version had a brilliant cast with enough drama and thrill in the plots to keep you watching. Compared to that this show has a lack luster cast trying to convert the OG version into regular ITV drama with palace and similar hype. The only actor that appealed atleast a little bit is the actor playing the ML’s assistant. I don’t feel to watch anymore since it’s forcing me to compare with OG version. Neither the ML nor the FL has the screen presence to keep me watching..

I guess by watching the Turkish version, you made comparisons inevitable.

As I've only seen the Indian version, and that had a very fresh vibe and appeal as compared to all other shows I see on itv nowadays. Especially compared with Star, Zee and Colors, this show seems like a boon in disguise. I really enjoy the acting of Tina, Jay and Cheshta as well. Feel like Kitu Gidwani can do better, as I've seen her work in the past too.

There's a lot of promise that the palace storyline holds. But the current kaalikh track feels regressive to me. I'd rather focus on Surili's adventures in Bombay as a cafe owner and businesswoman. Along with her family.

Shiv's assistant Bandish is played by Sapan Gulati. Its a difficult character to leave a mark in. Some episodes he's a blast, and then some he just goes overboard.

But yeah, this show and Katha Ankahee are the only ones worth watching on itv right now.

i cannot relate to M and FL’s acting. It feels so bland to me. The FL looks like trying really hard to portray a bubbly and selfless girl. I will wait for some time and try to watch the Indian version again since the Turkish version is still fresh in my mind. It would’ve been awesome if they stuck to the OG tracks which would’ve fitted very well in an Indian version..

Haha, yeah most of the FLs have this issue. I remember watching IPKKND long back, and there I just couldn't understand Sanaya Irani for a long time. Even in Katha Ankahee, the first month and half, I was like this lady is some superhuman.

I guess, its a reflection of the middle-class expectations, where the woman has to be a demi-god.
