In the ever growing era of Crime based reality shows, Life OK is here with another one, it is called Police- Dial 100. The concept of the show is different from what we have on Indian TV right now. Infact, Life OK itself have two very popular Crime shows Hum Ne Li Hai -Shapath and Savdhan India- 100 Days 100 Fightbacks on air. But with Police- Dial 100, channel is ready to set a new milestone in reality series.

The makers of the show i.e. Endemol India have taken the inspiration from American crime reality show 'Cops' which is a reality legal series that follows police officers during patrols and other police day to day activities. Police- Dial 100 will be one of its kind show where cameras will be shooting the real picture behind crime scenes. It will depict the rigorous process of police investigations and challenges. There will be no reenactments, everything will be real.

It will be in partnership with various police departments all over India. To begin with the show feature crime cases from the Crime Capital of India- New Delhi. It will be interesting to see how the police department will keep up with the reality check.

This show covers the incidents as they occur instead of having re-enactments. The cases may vary from kidnappings, assault to theft, hit and runs and even murders. This series aims at sensitizing the audiences on the roles and responsibilities of the police. It will take the audiences on a journey to the police world- control rooms, their techniques, lock-ups etc. The ultimate aim is to bridge the gap between the common man and the police department.

The promos of the show are already on air, the show is slated to start from 22nd June, weekends at 7:00 pm.

Wonder who will be the lucky host of this show?? A lil birdie told us that the producers and channel are searching for a big name to host it. Iqbal Khan, Barun Sobti and Arhaan Behl are few names which are popping up.

Talking about crime reality shows then let me tell you they have a huge fan base, sometimes the TRP of such shows is higher than popular daily soaps. I believe these shows are a good medium to sensitize audiences about the crime happening around them and how they can be alert to avert them.

Shows like Sony TV's Crime Patrol narrates the real life shocking crimes and how Police handles them. The crime stories are true and scenes are been re-created.

A cult show like Channel V Gumraah is a show that brings real Teen Crime cases which are an eye opener for the society. People like these shows because they can relate to the emotions and situations. They want to be sensitized of ruthlessness around us.

Show like Savdhan India- 100 Days 100 Fightbacks focuses on India's fight for justice against shocking real-life crime cases which will thrill you with an underlying message that this might happen to you, and hence you should be aware of your surroundings.

Shaitaan – A Criminal Mind is a show that delves into the minds of the worst criminals the society has seen. The show recreates the gruesome crimes in an attempt to decode what goes on in the minds of criminals when they commit shocking acts of violence and crime.

Police- Dial 100 will be scrutinized by public very acutely as it claims to showcase the actual reality behind the police and how it handles the crime occurring in cities. Let's see how this show gets welcomed by the public on 22nd June. We just hope nothing is scripted as promised!
