I am not backing out of Maharana Pratap: Dakssh Ajit Singh

TOI had exclusively churned out a news regarding actor Dakssh Ajit Singh of Maryada fame been finalized to play the role of Rana Bahudur Singh in Sony EntertainmentTelevision's Maharana Pratap.

However, certain sections of the media went ahead reporting about Dakssh backing out of the project owing to his injury. But the latest information that we have received is that Dakssh has decided to do the show and will start shooting soon.

Sources inform that Dakssh was confirmed to play the role of Rana Bahadur Singh who trains and mentors Maharana Pratap. The actor had in fact even started with his training sessions but during horse riding training suddenly, his injury resurfaced causing him tremendous pain and Dakssh had to retract from the show. The production house (Contiloe Telefilm's) however convinced and assured that the actor will not be strained with hard core action sequences and they will take all the necessary steps to give him rest. So the production house and Dakssh have mutually decided to continue with shoot and he will soon continue shooting.

When contacted, Dakssh said, "Yes, it's true that I have agreed to do the show again. I am facingcertain health issues but the production house is very co-operative and they have assured me that I won't be doing difficult stunts. So I have finally agreed to do the show. I am very happy as I wanted to do this role and I am doing it."

I thought that he was playing Rana Pratap himself - he seems good for that role
