They may not be friends, but "The Simple Life"'s NICOLE RICHIE, 24, followed in her old pal PARIS HILTON's footsteps yesterday by calling off her own wedding.
Nicole and fianc ADAM "DJ AM" GOLDSTEIN, 32, cancelled their engagement, Us Weekly reported on Wednesday. The stars' rep said, "The decision is mutual."
The two have been dating since 2003 and announced their plans to wed on February 8 of this year. He proposed with a six-carat ring of pink sapphires -- her birthstone -- and diamonds. It was estimated at $75,000.
"We've always had a great relationship," Adam told "The Insider" earlier this year. And Nicole said that for her wedding, "I want real elephants. I want elephant rides. I want everything. I want it all!"
So what went wrong? Earlier this year, Paris split from fianc PARIS LATSIS and scrapped plans for their wedding too.
