PV is watched by most families... HD has wider base among youth because of Rati fan base and Inshi as couple, but most families prefer to watch shows like PV and saas bahu sagas... My family watches shows like balika vadu, pavitra rista, and punaar vivhah... I guess it is the same everywhere.

set top boz doesn't contribute to TRP?

no it doesn't, you need set up box for TRPs to be be counted.
