what about kavi shastri guys? he too would look good with rati...then there is mishal raheja...currently unemployed...so many talented men are sitting at home...why sumit?

Because Sumit is not male lead 😆😆 may be 😆😆 n not expansive actor or may be they were looking for someone who can do weaker role in front of Strong Female character .other good actords will never do it as a lead 😉 so it went to Sumit
