REFLECTIONS OF THE PAST...

McGonagall was reflecting her thoughts. Sitting in her office and clearing it up, she had come accross an assignment. A perfect 'O' assignment written by a 15 year old... 50 years back.

She did not know why she still had it with her. She had been a school girl during that time. Just a year above the author...

She ran her wrinkled fingers over the name scrawled in his charecteristic handwriting. Tom M. Riddle.

She remembered him all right. Not because he was lord voldemort now.

They had had something really special in her 6th year. Something which would have turned out to be wonderful... something which was spoilt by his greed for power...

The only time she had been in love. With the handsome Tom Riddle. He also loved her then and she knew that.

Back them she had been a bubbly and cheerful girl. A girl none out of ordinary. With her perfectly wavy brown hair and her soft brown eyes she was a pleasent sight to look at. Like any normal girl during her time she also fell for the looks of Tom Riddle.

Tom riddle was trhe boy who never had girlfriends. He would never flirt and was a gentleman. One of the main reasons she fell for him. She did not think he deserved to be a slytherin. She thought that he was something more capable than a Slytherin.

He seemed so quiet and serious. So different from the others. Yet he seemed a role model to the others.

They had never been on a real date. Not even kissed. But they still shared a special bond.

She still could not forget the way his eyes used to look at her.

She had had feelings for him and it took her a long time to get over it.

He had been her companion... her special friend... her sould mate...

And he gave all that up for power and greed.

Minerva sighed as she tore up that assignment to peices. it was the one where she and Tom had gone to the room of requirement to do... it had been a memorable time with him...

Time had changed him....

Greed had changed him...

Knowledge had changed him... Knowledge of his family...

Things had cahnged within a few years and here she was, an unmarried 68 year old...
