Sorry, but we can't tell you! We do not pass out this kind of personal information. The only information that is publicly available is that he lives in the Fulham area of London, England and goes to a private boys' school in London when he isn't filming. [return to top]
Please note that you CANNOT contact Daniel Radcliffe through this website!!! The email addresses for this website go to the webmasters, NOT to Dan. We regret that we cannot pass on messages to Dan on your behalf.
The official way to get in touch with Dan is to send him a letter at one of the addresses listed on our Mailing Address page. Dan does read all his fan mail and tries to answer as many letters as he can but please bear in mind that he has a very busy schedule, between filming and school, and cannot always send a personal reply. Usually, fans receive a photo of Dan (with a preprinted signature) and his latest newsletter by way of a reply, which may take 2-3 months to arrive. [return to top]
Unfortunately, the number of opportunities to meet Dan or other members of the HP cast are very few and far between due to the usual reasons: filming and schoolwork commitments. It is possible (though difficult) to meet cast members at the film premieres, if you are prepared to travel that far, or you might be able to get audience tickets when they do interviews on TV or radio shows. The best way might be to look out for competitions in magazines or on TV or online to win a visit to the Harry Potter set and meet the cast there. Check our Contests page to see if there are any such competitions running right now. [return to top]
Dan truly appreciates the support continually given to him by his fans, but is so busy balancing filming with schoolwork that there just isn't time for individual interviews. The few interviews Warner Bros is able to schedule are intended to reach the widest audience possible and so hopefully will also prove the most accessible way for his fans to read about his time on set and interests in general. Dan has repeatedly stated that he does not have a girlfriend at present and that he and Emma are just good friends. Besides, if he does get a girlfriend, that's personal information again and we won't be discussing it on this site - sorry! [return to top]

Dan has finished filming Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and is due to begin filming an independent Australian production called December Boys in November 2005, after the promotion of ...Goblet of Fire. While there is currently a lot of speculation about his role in this film out there on the Internet on various movie and fan sites, please note that details of his role have NOT been officially announced. As soon as an official statement is made (probably later in 2005 after HPGOF is released), we will post the full details here, so until then, please don't ask us because we really don't have any more information! Shooting is expected to last about six weeks and be completed by New Year 2006, when Dan is expected to begin filming the next Harry Potter instalment, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. (Note: While Warner Bros. has not made any official statements regarding the casting of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, several sources very close to the production, including Dan himself, have suggested that he WILL be back to play Harry for the fifth Potter film. We will let you know as soon as an official announcement is made.) [return to top]
As for what he earns per film, there has been a lot of speculation recently about how much Dan makes and the estimates get wilder with each new report so don't believe everything you read in the press. Quite frankly, it's none of our business so sorry, we won't be discussing it here! [return to top]
At the moment, Dan has only signed up to make the fourth Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Warner Bros only signs up the principal child actors for one film at a time and is not expected to make any announcements regarding the casting of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix until (we would guess) late 2005. [return to top]
Uh... no!!! Contrary to the incessant media speculation, Dan is still very close in age to Harry. By the time filming completed on Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Dan was just about a year older than his screen character (Harry would be about to turn 15 by the end of the school year covered by the film, while Dan was about to turn 16). As far as we're concerned, he still looks and acts the part and that's all that matters! [return to top]
As a general rule, you have to be a British resident to be considered for a role in a Harry Potter film (there are various legal and practical reasons for only employing actors and extras from the UK). The best places to look for announcements about casting calls are sites like CBBC Newsround or any of the larger Harry Potter fan sites like The Leaky Cauldron or MuggleNet. Also, in the past, there have been competitions to win a walk-on role in the film or internship with the production team. If we hear any news about any competitions of this nature, we will post about it on our Contests page. [return to top]
The world premiere of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire will take place on Sunday November 6th in London, England, and the US premiere will take place on Saturday November 12th in New York City, NY. Locations and times for the premieres have yet to be announced. The film will be released in the US, UK and other major markets on 18 November 2005. (Click here to read the news story about the international release dates for the film.) When we have any more news about the dates, we will post it on our news page and Event Calendar. [return to top]
Attendance at a film premiere is by invitation only - tickets are not made available to the general public. However, if you're feeling really dedicated, you can wait outside the theatre and watch the stars of the film arrive on the red carpet! [return to top]
Based on previous years, we expect that Dan will attend the premieres in London and New York, but we don't have any official confirmation about his plans for this year yet. When we have any more news about the premieres, we will post it on our news page and Event Calendar. [return to top]
British labor laws place restrictions on the availability of younger cast members like Dan so, as he's in just about every scene in the films, a Harry Potter film takes a long time to complete. The demands of the filming schedule and school/tutoring mean that Dan doesn't have a lot of time to make promotional appearances, especially outside the UK. If he is scheduled to make a public appearance, it will be reported on our news page and Event Calendar. [return to top]
We keep a list of all of Dan's forthcoming TV appearances that we know of on our DR-TV page and Event Calendar, which includes both interviews and movie listings. However, please note that we rely on tips from our readers when updating this page, so if you find out about a TV appearance in your area, please send us the information! [return to top]

Dan claims that he does not read anything about himself in the press or on the Internet so, in general, the answer would be "no". However, as far as this site is concerned - yes, he does know where we are, he has visited the site in the past and he has even been very complimentary about us (thank you Dan!). But please don't leave a message for him in our comments system or on our message boards thinking he'll read it because he will probably not see it - if you have a message for Dan, please write to him! [return to top]
No, Dan currently does not have an official site. However, you will find everything you need to know about his career right here at DanRadcliffe.com! We work closely with Warner Bros representatives to bring you the latest news and pictures of Dan and occasionally we are fortunate enough to be invited to work with Dan and his family on special projects (like the Ask Dan Q&A and Demelza House appeal) or asked to post messages to his fans on his behalf. [return to top]
No, Dan currently does not have an official fan club. However, you are welcome to write to him!. [return to top]
Sorry but the email address is personal information and we wouldn't pass it out even if we knew it. Dan has repeatedly stated that he does NOT email or chat with fans online - in fact, he cannot state this strongly enough (click here to see for yourself in his own words!). If you have been emailing or chatting with someone who claims to be Dan, please understand that you are dealing with an imposter. Unfortunately, there are some people in the world who think it's fun to impersonate celebrities - please be very wary when talking to strangers on the Internet. [return to top]
There may be a few genuine articles out there but unfortunately there are a lot more frauds, especially if you buy from an online auction site. Dan has a very distinctive signature - you can view samples of it in our . If the signature doesn't resemble any of those, then we're afraid you may have been conned (even if the vendor offers a "certificate of authenticity" or COA). Dan does not sell autographs but occasionally, something that he signs will fall into the hands of a professional autograph dealer, who will then be only too happy to take your money. Buyer beware! [return to top]
Only what's part of the official Harry Potter movie merchandise range. Dan doesn't have his "own line"! However, recently there has been a rash of keychains, coasters, t-shirts, luggage tags etc cropping up on online auction sites, sold by some very creative and opportunistic vendors. Please note that these items are entirely unofficial, unauthorized and in no way endorsed so there is no guarantee of their quality and you are advised to think very carefully before parting with your money! [return to top]
Probably not. That's why it's a rumor. :-) [return to top]
Before you go believing everything you read in print or online, we'd strongly advise you to consider the source. If the report comes from a reputable media source (e.g., BBC, CNN, Reuters), then it is probably true. If it comes from a tabloid or gossip magazine or site, take it with a pinch of salt. But beware, there are some practical jokers online who think it's funny to write fake interviews and news articles about Dan and disguise them to make them look as though they come from a reputable source (they actually copy the style of pages from sites like the BBC or CNN). If you see a suspicious-looking article online, first check the address of the web page to see if it looks like an official news site address or if it's just someone's personal home page. Second, look for spelling mistakes and inconsistencies. If you see something suspicious, you are welcome to check with us but please don't post about it on a message board or email it to your friends because this is how rumors spread and the people who write these articles do not deserve any extra publicity!
