I voted Gryffindor.

I got this off www.wikipedia.org
At the time of the series, he is (according to an interview by Rowling) about 150 years old, meaning he entered Hogwarts around 1855, being sorted into Gryffindor House (according to Hermione Granger).

even in the film GOB.... towards the end when dumby walks into harry's room he says pointing towards the curtains..."i burnt these curtains while i was in fourth yr.Never liked these" 😛 😛 😛

I think for sure Dumby was in Griffyndor... We also see that he was Transfiguration Teacher just like McGonagall who incidently is also head of Griffindyor....while this may be just speculation...... but wait till you check this out.
HP-Lexicon on of the premiere sites indexing HP information...(must say there the best as far as i'm concerned) confirms that Dumby's house while he was at Hogwarts was Griffyndor....
check their info on Dumby there that'll throw more info on him up.
