No magic till u r of age...

I really don't understand this concept...In the 2nd book...harry potter and the chamber of secrets Harry got an official warning saying that he is nt supposed 2 do magic...nd dat 2 jst coz a hse elf did some magic... So it means that the magical department doesn't actually knw who did the magic...they only knw dat at a perticular time magic waz done in a perticular hse or place...So in that case if Ron or any other kid frm a wizard family does magic the departmanet won't knw who did it...It cud b his father or anyone who cn legally perform it...This is something wch I have alwayz wanted to knw...😕

good questions but i think that they only know that humans did it not creatures. by the way harry is the only one who can do magic at the dursleys

the explanation is ther in HBP. i wizard families the parents are expected to enforce the rule.

i agree to.. i think it is written sumwhere tht children frm a wizard families can do magic.. and harry got a warning coz he was at a place where there are only muggles.. and the ministry did not want anyone to know tht there is a boy living among them who can do magic...... i think tht is y he got a warning 😃

Underage wizards, whether ur parents or guardians are wizards or muggles, aren't allowed to do magic outside of Hogwarts. It could be perhaps that they cannot detect whether a creature did magic or a human being. I think that if a full-aged wizard does magic at the Dursley's house, it will be blamed on the full-aged wizard (because he did magic in front of a Muggle). Remember, when the Weasley's come to get Harry in the Goblet of Fire using the Floo Network, and there Arthur did use magic, but Harry was not blamed for it. I think it is possible that they are unable to detect whether a creature performed magic or a human being, and therefore the blame went on Harry because they were unsure.
