I decided to write something about ego which can destroy anything and everything! I was actually pondering about Adiraj and his super inflated ego! Wow! He just wants everything on his terms and when Ayesha decides to give him a taste of his own medicine he just loses it big time!
How about Ayesha a lot of people think she's self centred actually I think she's better than Adi in so many ways. She has the guts to admit her love for Adi while he's acting like a coward! She wasn't scared of bailing him out. She's been so caring and generous if you think about it. For me the one who is self centred is actually Adi as I believe he doesn't have the guts to have a relationship with a girl like Ayesha though he cares about her deep down!
Now Barkha she probably is the one with massive ego issues, with everyone in the household. This is how she's gonna lose her son eventually one day! Even Laajo has her ego which made her accept her mum in law's ultimatum. The only one I feel without any real ego issue is Nikhil. He seems such a genuine person, like a rare gem. I also like Inder and Nani very much as they care deeply for their family though Inder is hardly a man! I mean I do hope he finds out about Ayesha's troubles as he does seem to love her a lot.
Anyway these were some of my thoughts...have a nice weekend!

Hema, nice post.

You are right Adi is going to repent it.

Barkha is a psycho, she needs a doctor. Her ego is going to ruin her completely.

hema good post --I feel Adi is all about ego and tug strings of his heart. He is I think dealing with some thing with his family ,which is ego issue and that has made him even more brutal and abrupt in his mannerism, but his genuine love for Ayesha will soon make him re look at his life again and act on his priorities ..
Barkha is all about ego, she has nothing else. Also she has this disdain about Laajo daring to be accepted by her in laws while she struggled all her life to be accepted by baba.
Laajo forgot her love partly when she took challenge but her ego is not overpowering her love most of the time
nani and inder u r right are nice human beings and so is disappeared chachuji
Story is actually about various human emotions and its balance. Show is all about how different people react to different situations.
Coming to nik..he does have his ego but it is only after his self respect was ridiculed by his mother ,then he decided to stand up for his self respect.

Hope Adi gets his priorities right and hopefully he will chose heart over ego but of course until then cvs will want to drag his story even more as so far they haven't even revealed much about his background. I guess they want to keep the mysterious aspect of his character as much as possible!
What happened to chachu by the way? I used to like his as he was such a sensible character.
I don't quite agree with you regarding Laajo as I feel she's got an ego issue as well vis a vis Barkha and at so e point it will affect her relationship with Nikhil. I know she made that stupid promise about not meeting Nik etc but deep down wasn't that motivated by some ego issue with MIL!
Anyway deep down we all have our ego but when it overpowers every other emotion then it becomes dangerous like Barkha! I mean she's obsessed about Laajo which is becoming so ridiculous!

yes yaar ash --barkha hates the village much more than anything else...I feel her son died there, if u remember the scene it has same kind of flowers as those domes type roof of baba's haveli.
I mean it is guess but I know baba will teach barkha later ion story and then she might repent but baba never accepted her and blamed her for taking his son away, hence she was able to blackmail laajo this way with those pep talks... that woman has issues deep down...that is why to me most intriguing story is Nikhil and Barkha's story ...

Hello Hema!
Nice post! I always find that EGO is self destructive! I have seen many people unhappy and loose everything because of their ego. It is like when a person becomes egoistic he/ she destroys him/her self . This is very well being portrayed in G.D.
I think Barkha leads the lot with her elephant sized EGO! She has become completely blind to the emotions of people around her. She does not have a heart for Nikhil...that's understood...but what about her daughter Ayesha?!! whom she feels she loves so much? ! That girl is distressed , sad and lonely and still this lady is not aware of it. Moreover she doesn't want to listen to Inder or Naani who know that something is wrong with Ayesha instead she is worried about how to win the game with Laajo!! This is heights!! This ego of hers is going to ruin her and the lives of people around her.
Then comes Adiraj!! He is a mystery...but that does not give him the right to insult Ayesha's Love!! I thought he is a down to earth person who is aware of the realities of life and is sensitive to the feelings of others ( as he is shown as a writer) and due to this virtue he was able to bring a change in Ayesha who was otherwise a spoilt rich girl . He may have his reasons not to commit to Ayesha, but then why did he confess? He could have explained his position politely rather than blaming her and pushing her to take extreme steps!!( like being ready to marry an unknown person) I am disappointed with his character , as such a level- headed person cannot insult love ( it seems he is a coward and putting up a strong face to run away from responsibility!!) I was further angry when he got jealous and blamed Ayesha for not understanding Love...when he is so detached then why this jealousy?!! Some things are becoming unbelievable!!😡
Ayesha was all about ego , but her bad experiences with love and relationships has got her to her senses.
How can we forget our great Laajo!! She shows how much she misses Nikhil...hides from him and again cries bucket full...I mean why is she wasting her tears only to show Barkha what she is capable of?!! When did her ego become so great that she forgot about love?!! And Madam is giving interview that Love is more important than career!! what a farce!!😡 This ego of hers is helping Rathri to seduce Nikhil ( Thankfully for her Nikhil is of faithful types even though he acts dumb sometimes!!😆)
Then comes Rathri!! She is a woman without brains and substance...Her ego is making her to be used by barkha and Kabir! Her " I am so important " attitude has already ruined her photoshoot and interview...next it will destroy her beyond recognition.
Nikhil at present has no ego issues as such but his face-off with Barkha has made him overenthusiastic and so his father's advice has gone unheeded which will definitely harm him.
Person without ego and even self respect at the moment seems to be only Inder!!😆😆😆

Hi Varshitap I'm assuming that's your name.
Thanks for your comments and yes you're so spot on about all of the characters. I completely agree with you and yes I'm disappointed with Adi. I mean I understand he may gave his own reasons but he could have been more sensitive with Ayesha whom he is well aware has been targeted by Sid in the past so how could he act in such a nonchalant way. I think though deep down he loves Ayesha he's scared that he won't be able to provide for her etc and is hiding behind his emotions while Ayesha has more guts to admit the truth and stand by it! However I feel it's good that Adi admitted about his love for her as in most shows the guy would not have said anything until the girl found out so this show is more realistic which I like.
I think Adi will have to eventually accept that Ayesha means a lot to him but it will take him time however I liked Ayesha's replies to him in their last confrontation! It's his fault that Ayesha has been forced to take this step to marry an unknown person and I hope he pays a price for it!
As far as Laajo is concerned, I don't think highly of her at all, I much prefer Nikhil though he's a bit stupid and should've more worldly! He will have to pay the price for not heeding his dad's advice! Nani is great but I think she's got to put on the detective cap now to help Ayesha turn around her life and make Laajo see sense though I don't think that's possible anymore!
