Well you are so right !!Now-a-days it is difficult to relate to Laajo's character . She seems so confused and embarrassed at being a woman from the village in front of those snobs at the S.K's academy!! I also agree that woman wearing saree or any Indian attire for that matter are no way less than those modern sophisticated ones. At the end of the day every person should have respect for our culture and wear whatever a person is comfortable in. G.D is focusing more on what Laajo is lacking in than what she is capable of at the moment. This somehow is sending the wrong message!!😲 it indeed is wrong message, I think Cvs will correct it varsha and will show later on how to balance as laajo is tipping the balance at the moment
Moreover , I also feel that City is not the ultimate place where you can achieve your goals, however it has more facilities and avenues at the same time there are people who have achieved a lot more being in the village or small town. And as a country ,India is in the villages and small towns rather than the big cities!! So G.D could have made the effort to focus on this issue rather than taking on to the traditional line of going to the city and making it big!! yes I agaree there , I think she and nik may move back to village in future plot line, I think it is in the plot...from what I remember. And lol am from Punjab villagers r more rich, more facilities at their homes, live like royalty thanks to green revolution😆 they go to shops in cities --right away shopkeepers know rich farmers r there😆 they get royal treatment there too😆so I simply cannot relate at all
Yes , she was different from Ishana and all the others in believing in herself and thinking in terms of betterment of all. She was special due to her resolve, determination and courage which even shook the conscience of the rich city guy Nikhil that he fell for her selflessness and love. Having said this, now its no more that way, I find Laajo trying to be something which she is not!!😕 I think she will learn it hard way where she got lost in chamak dhamak
I think when she will meet Nikhil after becoming a star she will have her conscience knocking of what she has lost in the process!! So too Nikhil may get a shock of his life!! poor soul!!🤢I agree , I think he wil feel cheated also about not knowing her whereabouts..
Anyways hope that something good comes out of this churn!! BTW your post is so valid and positive that I am overwhelmed. thanks me too thank you dear for ur post and also u varsha for ur replies..

I feel GD should show how much classical Indian dance is respected in India, it is not village thing only, villages have folk dances, classical is special and should be treated with respect and not with snobbery of some jerks calling themselves artists.

Hi! Sami
Thanks for the reply. I am busy but I just make it a point to try to be here as it is a sort of destressing!!😊 the other side i.e family , work etc are full on multitasking!! Cant help it. But I make sure to have my " ME " time once a day!!😆 Itna to banta hain na !!😉
Well I agree that artists should be humble because art is such a medium that its never done , I mean to say that the learning never stops its an on going process. So to be a learner one should be humble!! ( S.K's academy shows us something different!!😕 Its pathetic that those who are learning an art form don't respect it!!) In our part of the country i.e South India every person in the family should learn one art form or the other and in some families it is mandatory!! They train kids in the classical forms be it music or dance from a very young age. So that respect for classical music and dance is somewhat inherent in me , Well I did not learn classical music or dance to be honest as I was much interested in academics, and the former requires lot of dedication, however I am trained to some extent in fine arts, i.e I do some sketching, drawings and paintings as hobby.
Coming to Laajo, well you are right , if Barkha sponsors her it will be interesting to see what happens next!! Even I feel they brought in Chachi to complete that loose end of the story of Chachu and his Children getting along with their life giving a closure to that divorce issue.
Yeah I know how schools work in India!! but I found it surprising that there was no school staff with that little girl till Laajo arrived!! 😲 What a blunder!!
This track seems to be a bit boring...and Laajo's character is loosing steam...and Nikhil is just shown because he is the lead!! That Love factor is missing!! they could have at least shown some dream sequence!! to keep us connected!! So just waiting for that to happen...!!
Hoping for better days... Bye ... see you soon

Hey Guys,
Great to read your posts, and have missed all of you in the GD forum.

The story line is annoying me a lot these days. I feel as if it is somehow bolted on to the earlier episodes The current Laajo shows no confidence and does not have the bright eyes and chirpy nature of the old Laajo. This Laajo is meek and rather pathetic. let's hope that the new episodes bring in the charm of the good old days.

I know about south india and dance and carnatak music dedication, I remember falling in love with Carnatic music on my visit to banglore for my masters thesis...in north india we r more into folk dances and folk songs of Punjab...and art is respected yaar, may be this new generation of kids r thinking all things western r good, but what I want indian people to learn from westerns is ability to do hard work and total honesty with their work. Instead they pick their bad parts and don't even think of good habits of these western people.

Hoping for better days... Bye ... see you soon yes yaar love factor is missing, every 2 days or so a scene of telepathy between two has to be shown, may be some scene about Nikhil being injured and laajo sending a letter even..I mean something more than just living their lives separately and all..

And of course I understand about pressures of life so thanks for stopping by and hopefully story will pick up and so would be our forum..

I am happy that Laajo is making progress in the glamorous world of show business and can imagine the show making her a big star etc, but it seems to be all at a huge cost and I feel that my expectations of the show as a fan have been dashed.

I thought that GD would have promoted that special diversity of India as it's crown jewels, but lately we are currently hemorrhaging with a very unbalanced view point city slick winning hands down against village simplicity.

Your thoughts please...

Hello all,

Must say now that the only thing that is good about GD is its forum members.!

I cant see this show. It is different , so much so that I have to blink once or twice to wonder if I am seeing Gustakh Dil. Everything is changed. No familiarities---- even Laajo. She talks different, walk different, smiles different and even LOOKS different. Ooh ! whats happening?

I completely , totally agree with Jatinder. Instead of promoting the Indian culture (simple or otherwise) they have made it look like something to be ashamed about. A simple saree is not acceptable? Long braided hair is not modern enough? I am totally affronted and Very Angry with this misrepresentation!!!
Even if Laajo was to realize that she had gone wrong later in the show--- I will still be mad. How dare the writers??

You would think that a production house and its team would remake a show JUST to improve upon it. The Bengali version was a hit--- this version could have been a SUPER hit with a few changes here and there. Like Premparbat , mentioned earlier how extremely insulting it is to womanhood---- she can only improve as a dancer??? Hello??? What about being fully educated and THEN going for a GROOMING class ,IF she thinks its necessary.

THINK CVs and writers THINK! You can be very much more innovative than this. Talent is not only in copying a previous serial--- talent is producing new thoughts to improvise continuously.

The worst part of the show---- Laajo wants to prove herself to such a flawed spoilt brat. She should be stronger and say' love me for what I am not what you want me to be.' And if she does not have the strength , please, she can stand by her husband who can extend some of his strength to her... Instead she stands by a LAMP!!!!!

Too bad, this was a good show with Vibhav leading it with a high impact but he has been so callously sidelined, that I don't feel like watching it anymore.

😊 😊 😉 I still visit the forum though, because members are beautiful!

I agree expectations from show were so high and emotional connection we all had with laajo and her inner strength as woman was shattered, I feel show has become ordinary now, it still has amazingly talented cast ,that keeps us stuck to show but these weird plots wont get us anywhere.
I also feel GD should have maintained the simplicity and greatness of Indian culture was what kept us hooked in past, I sincerely hope that Laajo's purity as human being and her dignified persona should be maintained, the cost of stardom should be shown and audience should still be able to relate to the show.
I feel that learning English as international language has kind of become essential to help people move forward in life. But I want them to show that despite all that simplicity of villager's heart and his/her purity ultimately is able to triumph in this cruel city jungle of concrete and coal taar.

Long braided hair is not modern enough? I am totally affronted and Very Angry with this misrepresentation!!! I agree with that but what I feel Sagar will do is enhance Indian beauty itself with Laajo, see how they show Anjali in her traditional dresses, I think they will do same with Laajo...traditional and elegant so lets have some faith on that department as right now even I feel offended with so called confused desis who keep thinking that becoming modern means parties, clothes and drinking😕I hope they show Laajo got to know about everything modern but still win hearts with her desi attire and purity of her heart.
Even if Laajo was to realize that she had gone wrong later in the show--- I will still be mad. How dare the writers??

What about being fully educated and THEN going for a GROOMING class ,IF she thinks its necessary. I know yaar they took easy route, I wanted them to show a leap of 5 years then show barkha sick in hospital and laajo saving her life but alas we go tthis 😡

THINK CVs and writers THINK! You can be very much more innovative than this. Talent is not only in copying a previous serial--- talent is producing new thoughts to improvise continuously. I agree yaar,it made me super mad, they lost their numbers with nik's confusion track too

And if she does not have the strength , please, she can stand by her husband who can extend some of his strength to her... Instead she stands by a LAMP!!!!! I know that part is most heart breaking, but I feel makers want tos how that laajo can even empathize with barkha and her inability to love her own son,may be she wants to unite nik and barkha but right now am not in forgiving mood at all.

Too bad, this was a good show with Vibhav leading it with a high impact but he has been so callously sidelined, that I don't feel like watching it anymore. aww me too feel for vibhav as he has immense talent and being sidelined doesn't help😭

Hello Bash!
Missed you so much yaar!! Yes true that the show is going downhill with some unrealistic ways of presenting things and also the message of the show seems to be lost!!
Well , even I am not comfortable with Laajo being depicted as a girl who wants to be in the limelight since the society feels that being a village simpleton is not cool!! That simple, honest , caring, determined , bubbly Laajo is lost...Now we see a Laajo crying by a lamp...confused about the future!! ashamed to be from the village...!! and finally hiding behind wired things to keep away from her husband!! All for the sake of that pathetic promise?!! She has done great dis service to her loving and caring husband!!😡 Poor Nikhil is sidelined and facing all the hardships and giving credit to Laajo!!! Were we all waiting for this!!😡
Anyways, I also visit the forum to meet all you wonderful friends . Thanks for writing and do keep visiting. Hope the C.v's listen and do something about our concerns!!
Our forum is the only silver lining!!
