You are so right in defining how love is percieved in these two cultures. Eastern is all about giving your love everything, sharing in everything and Arpi is that love personified.

She was made to love Avdesh and be his protector and as Di said, his sheild. With her around nothing could seriously harm him because she will move heaven and earth to make sure he is safe and sound.

Now we are seeing Avdesh do the same...going crazy and he wants his wife back in his arms, safe and sound. This is why I said another person underestimating their love and committment to each other (RV). And it is people who never ever loved like this or is capable of loving like this.

I want to see RV eat his words and truly regret for letting his need for revenge make him like this. I mentioned this before, but he should have really recalled his own words to Arpi that day she came to beg for Avdesh's life.
