Yes he is from Jaipur..Read carefully its written that he went to lucknow to do research on his character that he is portraying...Ashish is portraying real life gangster Prakash shukal who was from lucknow and was killed in an encounter last year...GKD is based on this real life gangster...this is the second time ashish is visiting lucknow to know more about prakash shukla so that he can portray him better on the screen
