Kind of hard to find one English word for Tapasya, though it is most often translated as penance.........but penance not as in atonement, rather in the old Catholic church sense, where you abstained from various pleasures of life (like an ascetic) in a bid to achieve some longstanding goal. In BJ's case, she uses the word to mean that she has worked so hard over the years, abstained (presumably) from the pleasures😉, waiting for him to grow up and finally be hers...(gosh, this sounds wrong on so many levels🤢)

Tapasya in Sanskrit literally means "heat generated by an action)
