Nothing to say or add to your very well rounded and complete write up Arti - thank you for the information update! I learned about the existence of this flower first time when Angel posted the pictures and link on another thread...!

ps: Come to think of it, the last few weeks of the show saw Kesar wearing mostly combinations of 'violet' - pastel and dark; orange, red, yellow-mustard?! 😆 Does Gulaal mean blue in any language?! Given her absolute bias towards that blue uniform 🤣

Well i think the gullu's uniform lehenga is purple..the color of saffron flower...

actually idea struck while i was painting saffron flower for my bedroom wall...ab neil k painting karti to mom would have killed me...😉...ok so while painting i nearly used all the colors from the tube like violet blue white strips golden orange yellow red...and i was like omg this is is so majestical... so thought to post it...😳

kesar is perfect name for this guy
