So I never watched this show as it did not appeal to me
I did catch a few epi's here and there while channel surfing
Why is Neil always marrying and falling in love with women older than him..he is going to typecast himself😆
He was in love with Simi in the that other show..Karol Bagh...and she was like 9 years older but then they change it to 6 years older than her husband
I do like the fact that tv shows are showing love is beyond age...but I find that they dont do it with the diginity and respect it deserves...the story started out sweet in KB but then soured and the show tanked
I dont know how it was shown in this serial...

So when all other TV actors do roles where they fall in love and marry a girl younger than their age, they are typecast too?
Good, Neil is breaking the norms.
Abhi consciously fell in love with a woman older to him by age
Kesar was subject to a custom called Deeyarvatu where he was married as 12 year old to his brother's wife, a practice prevalent in some communities of India.
Both characters are widely different.
If you don't know how it was shown in this serial, the dear friend when you do find time, watch this show to realise how different Kesar is against Abhi before YOU would typecast him as a guy falling in love with older girl. Do a fair analysis of both the characters before passing random comments. It is an earnest request

Meysimi has a point...aren't we typecasting when we watch shows with with women only involved with men older to them? or when Women only do feminine roles or men only masculine? Maybe we dont think of it as "typecasting" because it has happened in the generations well before us. Is that all a storyline is about? I have only watched bits and pieces of KB, but the role assayed by NB seems vastly different from that of the character assayed in Gulaal... rather than age reversal between 2 genders, I perceive the issue raised in Gulaal by the CVs to be that of the Deeyarvattu to a minor/child ...and the resulting confusion in the adult's mind...the female lead is incidentally an attractive woman who is also righteous (to the point of being sanctimonious). This could have very well been a female child - but in the Indian TV world it (that gender) is "been there, done that"... Watching the past episodes of Gulaal will definitely clarify the issue. Powerful, layered roles like Gulaal and Kesar are extremely unusual for Indian TV...and I am glad that these two actors were ambitious enough to take them on...it would have been foolish not to for them...the two characters never remained static but evolved as the drama demanded...it must have been an absolutely thrilling challenge for both of them...
The emotions, scenarios and drama highlighted in the two serials (KB and G) are very different. NB is a fantastic actor (as is the female lead MP) and I am sure both NB and MP have nothing to lose from their respective roles because whatever role they assay, they will bring their outstanding talent to the character...

I also stated in my post that its good they are showing this but sometimes its not shown with dignity

If Neil got an oppurtunity to prove his versatality by playing love interest of women older to the character's age then whats wrong.? its much much better then any crappy teenager romance where u r only praised for the looks..I really apprecaite the fact that unlike other actors of his age he has taken roles where he could portray his versatlity in true sense...

Abhi and Kesar are two different characters what if they were played by a same actor..?

I believe Kesar's character was kind of a dream role for any actor...and am so happy that it was portrayed by Neil with an ace perfection...

I dont get it ..are you guys reading something else and then commenting on my post? Dont people read here?

I just found it interesting, that in two serials, he was cast as a younger love interest...sometimes actors do get similar roles going forward...and as for the typecasting...it does happen..its not always a bad thing...but it happens if you keep playing certain types of roles and sometimes it pays off ie srk. And yes I see that they were two different circumstances, but at the end of the day it was a younger guy in love with someone older than him..which Neil has played twice..
I never once said this is a bad thing nor did I say anyting about the show or kesar so frankly I dont get what everyone is blabbering about
