I think Kesar has already realised Thalli's love for him. He is not refusing the fact of her love like what Gulaal is doing to his. But at the same time he is very much sure that he cannot reciprocate it.

Talli has to move on in her life. As far as the story is concerned Kesar is not meant for Thalli. Even if anything of that sort happens also it will be short lived as Vasanth and Gulaal.

I think it is crystal clear that Kesar's love for Gulaal is more intense than Thallis love for him.

yes..very true..kesar already realized Talli's love but it does not make any different in his heart...
