I don't like the way the current track is going. In particular the negativity of JK/Sudha and the continued immature behaviour of Kesar.

I usually like JK and understand Sudha's bitterness but the constant bombardment of the two is getting too much.

In Kesar we have seen signs of maturity and the signs of the man Kesar will become but again the constant childishness is too much. He is just not getting the message that this is not the way to treat Gulaal.

However, the CVs have done a great job of progressing the story and being true to the development of each character. I was stunned by yesterday's episode and didn't have anything to say on the wonderful analysis the good members of this forum did.

Today I have a new resolve and have decided to trust the CVs know what they are doing (I hope, fingers crossed) at least they have so far. I will trust that they will give the story it's due course and will take the proper path and get it to where it needs to know.

*please mavri! I beg you! please give the CVs the tools to do the story justice and not ruin this wonderful show*

I still have faith in them because I trust the build up they have formed for GK. Gulaal creatives deserve respect for what they have shown to us thus far. There have been rare episodes where I just wonder they are up to but then the following episodes usually make up for any previous flaws.

It is obvious that Kesar needs to get himself together and not be so vulnerable. At the same time Gulaal is lonely and someone has to take this tough exterior away. They have to help each other out even if its indirect.

Take this week and last week - how is Kesar exactly coming out on-screen, coz his behaviour as such - is being labelled as kiddy sort (i seriously dont know what to name it) and he is being ziddi and forceful - though despite him being that we all know, he has no wrongness to it, but its coming out in that sort of way... and more so on, esp after the big lashing out Gulaal gave him on Monday when she walked back into the house and then in the bedroom

Most of the things dont apply to Kesar, coz of his pov he sees he doesnt think he has done wrong, well didnt have wrong intentions and wasnt selfish.. he on his feelings and the methods he went about it, but to other ppl it looked like force and pressure, even Revji baapji said, and Gulaal said that...
Now with Kesar, i am hoping or how its been coming across (esp the two times Revji baapji has commented on Kesar being how he is) that the writers are planning to see growth in Kesar, and emerge some maturity, i dont find Kesar immature as such... the mind he has and the heart he has, thats not immaturity but he needs strength, and i know he is capable being so much more
Or are we gonna see Kesar back to his anger mode and we gonna see Angry Gulaal V Angry Kesar lol
I still trust the writers, for me i think they know what they are doing, always have done...
Gulaal is one character they wont mess with and they havent IMO, esp if ppl totally get the woman she is and see who she is... and see beyond her and what is inside her
I did say in my post that he still isnt seeing it from Gulaal's pov, and you know why that is important, coz Gulaal's pov is the actual reality going on, the actual problem and somewhat solution... 😊
Sorry for repeating myself 😊

@Reemz - yes it is really hard to watch the vulnerability in our Kesar. We know that he is a strong and wonderful young man but circumstances and his love for Gulaal are making him behave the way he is! I really hope that the CVs do his character justice.

@Lennie - you and Reemz have watched the show much longer than I have so I am glad to hear that you trust the CVs to do right by the characters!

Love your comments...and good to read again and again!

I actually loved the episode and how CV's are dealing with such a delicate relationship.
Kesar is someone who is very child like at heart and we should not forget how lonely his childhood was when he was in boarding school. So sometimes when things dont go the way he understands life... he explodes..the reality of the situation takes time to sink in. He just needs people around him to understand him and when he sees that everybody is questiong his true love he just cant bear it and acts extreme.
Slowly and steadily he will understand what is wrong in his actions and thats what CV's are trying to build up.

Shelly you said it! Tracks of angst can often make one doubt if there is progression in the story, or if its going to be dire stalemate taking over for a while... I particularly rooted for the Friday episode (despite the opening sequence which was blown out of proportion for GK, JK, Sudha and far too underplayed for Reva) because by the end they did cut through the thick mire and open grounds for upheaval. I've wondered how all of us wanted Gulaal to just get back to Talsagra last weekend, because at that point it seemed like it would turn the track around and be the slow and rigorous one way path to resolution between the leads. Interestingly, the entire week long showdown in the Talsagra haveli now seems (more or less) an apt foreplay to bring Kesar to this point where he shall voluntarily give up on the deeyarvattu and Gulaal. Perhaps Talli could have pulled off such an act earlier - but come to think of it, Gulaal's presence in the house, and the constant push-pull dynamics between GK, as well as the constant deriding of Gulaal is what has driven her, despite and beyond her own love, love and misery, to bring such a blatant revelation upon Kesar. In a big overall picture - I applaud the way Cvs have done it - because if either Gulaal, or Kesar had given in to each other in any other, lesser, more willing way, only because they couldn't stand each others hurt - it would probably not have justified their respective characters half as much! IMO, Kesar now gives up on Gulaal - not because he has only just realized hurting her (he has seen it all this time, but made himself believe that she is in denial and her denial is robbing them both of a happiness that they deserve and he further believes he can break through her someday and make her see that like himself) - but because he has realized that he can't really break through Gulaal's denial or make believe, or even reality, if that's how it is. In that sense, he has relinquished, yet not exactly by falling to Gulaal's treatment of demeaning of him, but to a higher understanding of how what he can't really change. Just like Gulaal once had - when she gave up against his stubborn marrying act with Talli.

Thanks for the topic - especially its positive line of thought!

xx
