Written Update June 27, 2011

Kesar is on the terrace lost in thought, Sudha comes there and tells him firmly that Gulaal will never come back. Kesar responds confidently that she will come, definitely come, she asks him who is he kidding, he tried everything yet she didn't come, what magic has she done that he cannot see beyond her, he cannot see Mota Bha, Paan Baa, or Talli's suffering and is willing to stop the family's food and water for that Gulaal who not only stole his childhood by doing deeyarvattu but is also playing with his emotions. He tells her to say anything she wants against him but not against Gulaal, Sudha gets angry and gets in his face and tells him that Gulaal doesn't care about him, her father declared that she will never return, Kesar should open his eyes to who really cares about him, he should not waste his life behind her since others lives are entwined with his, and she leaves. The minute Gulaal turned her back Sudha turned back to her old self, constantly putting obstacles in Gulaal's way. I cannot believe this woman - 10 years and she has not changed one bit.

Dushyant is at Gulaal's parents' place and says that he is also the head of the panchayat and thought it better to come in-person to find out their decision, he tried hard to explain to Kesar, but... Poonam takes Kesar's side and blames Gulaal that because of her stubbornness they have to go through this. Gulaal overhears this and feels bad. Revji says that they will not force Gulaal to do something she doesn't want to no matter what, this is their final decision. Gulaal feels bad. Dushyant tells him that they will have to meet the panchayat the next day, and leaves.

Gulaal looks at Vasant's photo in her room and flashbacks to her mother's words, Kesar's trying to stop her from leaving, his antics the night before, Yogesh's losing his job, and then turns off the light and goes to sleep. Looks like her mother's words hit her hard.

Paan Baa tells the family that she cannot hide this from Mota Bha anymore, but she needs to talk to Gulaal first and gauge her mind. Jamna says that why should they go to Gulaal after the way she left and her father behaved, she will not even listen to them, Paan Baa tells her that she will not refuse for Mota Bha. Gulaal comes there, Paan baa is happy to see her, everyone is shocked. Gulaal tells her that she has returned, and tells Dushyant to ask the panchayat not to take drastic steps since she has returned. Gulaal looks very pale and dead. Kesar is happy to see her and tells Paan Baa that Gulaal has returned, he knew she would return, she says that she didn't come of her own will but was brought there, his stubbornness brought her back, he left her no choice. Kesar's smile fades on hearing that, but he is still happy that she returned. Gulaal the great declares that she has returned because of Kesar but not for him, she has returned for both families' honor. I hate how Gulaal tries to put Kesar down every single time. She has no concern for him. She didn't have to declare this in front of the family and could have said it behind closed doors, but she always wants to prove herself a martyr. Its so annoying.

Kesar tells her with tears in his eyes not to worry, she has returned and everything will be fine. Gulaal is still angry and continues that she has come back physically but left her mind outside the house far away, there was a time when this house felt like hers, now because of him it feels like prison. Gulaal continues with more such dialogues. I HATED it. Why does she have to keep belittling Kesar all the time in front of everyone? She has not an ounce of respect for him. She wanted to make sure that she made him feel as bad as possible only because she could not have her way. She went on and on and on, and I could not bear it anymore. All the while Kesar looked hurt. She tells him she will never forgive him.

Kesar goes to his room and sees Gulaal in there, he asks what she is doing in his room. Gulaal looks at him with a lot of anger and hatred and asks as if he doesn't know, this is what he wanted that she should live with him as his wife. She puts Vasant's photo on the table and tells Kesar so wickedly that his desire is fulfilled, she is standing in front of him in his room as his wife. Kesar is confused. She asks if he is happy now. He says that he didn't tell her to stay in his room, she says that but that is what he wanted, else why would he complain in the panchayat, why would he compel her to return. Kesar tears up and says not at all, why is she misunderstanding him. He didn't bring her back so she could stay with him, but so she could be close to him, he asks her not to misunderstand his love. She asks him angrily if he knows the meaning of love, this pure word from his lips sounds like a curse. Gulaal says this with such a wicked, mean, and disgusted expression, as if she is not talking to Kesar but to some low-life stranger she hates with her soul. Kesar feels very hurt and looks so vulnerable.

Gulaal continues that love is not selfish, and in true love it doesn't matter whether the person is close or far. That is not true - Gulaal herself couldn't stay without Vasant because she loved him. Gulaal continues that else she would not have loved Vasant even today. Hearing Vasant's name Kesar gets emotional and looks at his photo. Every time Kesar hears Vasant's name his loss shows on his face. Gulaal continues with her lecture on love and says that even though Vasant is not close to her she still loves him because love is not conditional, and Kesar says he loves Gulaal, Kesar is lying, he doesn't love her but himself, he doesn't want Gulaal because he loves her but because he wants her to stay with him in his room as his wife. Kesar has a look of shock and disgust on his face, as if he cannot believe Gulaal would think like this about him.

Gulaal comes closer to him and asks what does he want, she is ready to fulfill all her duties as a wife, she gives him every right of a husband. Gulaal says this with utmost disgust on her face. She asks him to do whatever he wants. Kesar yells for her to stop, he asks crying what is she saying, is her mind okay, then he says "chhi" (yuk) with utmost disgust. Gulaal is weeping loudly. He says shocked that he would never have imagined that she would think like this of her Kesar, that he would have fallen to such lows, and leaves the room in disgust. Gulaal drops on the floor weeping bitterly.

Precap: Sudha yells that Gulaal will not enter the kitchen, she has stolen someone's love and Sudha will never forgive her for that. Who cares whether Sudha forgives or not? Sudha speaks as if her forgiveness is worth something. I would be like screw you. Gulaal did not STEAL someone's love, Talli was stealing Gulaal's love and HUSBAND for heaven's sake. Who is Sudha to talk? I hope Kesar and Jamna and Paan Baa all together give it back to Sudha big time. Kesar needs to start speaking up for Gulaal.
