😉Hey Gals,

Ok so , PB says to gulaal that if u become a widow at young age ur required or suppose to marry ur dewar .....forget gulaal for sometime ,

1. What if the dewar is already married ??

2. What if there is no dewar ??

can someone answer this for me please😳

In both these circumstances as u say she will lead lyf of a widow and need not marry neone..marrying a devar is not a compulsion i guess...but yes dis sort of marriage will help the widow overcome her past and b in her matrimonial house as well and hav a nyc future...

in these kind of villages people live in tolas, which means they r descendant of same person and thus shares the same gotra and hence they r all considered as brothers and sisters. so, i think, in this case, the girl can be married to the boy who is the closest cousin of the deceased.

the main reason .i think this tradition was a kind of social security .... for women

the widow would be taken for ride in the samaj.. if alone ---

so the family gets her married family name continues and she is not facing any difficulties @that time remember girls were not edu or wrking or were acquainted with outside world :)

well if there is not devar or he is already married then the woman would stay a widow. or maybe they would get her married to someone else. the reason they do it in the family because it is easy for everyone to adjust to the situtaion.
